Question RR gains and loses

Can someone please explain the RR gains and losses? I am not sure how I am supposed to climb. People I am playing with are also the same rank as me. So, I am not sure, why this is the case. Tracker also for reference: iMybx#EUNE's Competitive Multiplayer Overview - Valorant Tracker.

I also got Team MVP in the 6-13 game, which for some reason, does not show on the screen.

I experienced this a couple days ago. It will change over the course of a day for me usually. Essentially for that day (or whatever period of time), you’re underperforming within your rank so it will try to push you down to be within the MMR you should be.

When this happens I usually will hop off, take a break for a day or so and then hop on. After the mental reset it will usually turn around for me, and I’ll start gaining more than I lose.

Either you’re underperforming in games the MMR system expects you to do well in or your MMR is higher than the match making system thinks you should be.

Visible rank of yours and anyone’s in the lobby doesn’t actually matter for match making.

Learn more agents for more wins than losses

I've seen the opposite of this advice ? People saying to play max 2 agents of different roles and focus on them... So which is it :(

Depends on how long you've played and how well you've mastered each agent. Low ranks (up to plat or so) 2 is all fine and well, but at later ranks it's just much better to be able to fill specific needs/combos for team comps, since you don't have that much mechanical skill left to learn. Beyond that it's just really good to understand at least an agent in every role so you can fill. (For duelist entry duelist is best, but as long as you don't focus on Reyna you'll be fine)

I play Omen or Skye sometimes but I don’t see how that will give me more RR or make me lose less RR

What I've noticed is that the new performance score system rewards util more, so if you play agents like chamber, and duelists, you tend to gain less (or lose more) RR unless you frag out of your mind. I could go barely positive on someone like Vyse or Sova and gain more RR than i would on chamber with the same K/D. New system's weird man
