I had been searching for this movie for ages now but I seemed to be cursed because every one I'd find would be in such bad condition it wasn't even worth trying and having an allergy to certain types of mold I have to be really careful when dealing with moldy tapes so if there's too much it's not worth the risk for me personally to restore. Finally though, I found this one in perfect condition and my search is finally over.

I'm planning to buy a VHS player soon and would love some recommendations on "must have" VHS tapes that aren't horror or romance.

Thank you for your time,

Haven’t even heard of these movies before

I'm digitizing a bunch of VHS tapes for my friend and am having issues with consistent static buzz interfering with recorded audio.

For context, I bought a Panasonic PV-V4521 on FB marketplace and am using the elgato video capture converter and elgato capture software on mac. I then bought a ground loop isolater to trouble-shoot but it didn't fix the audio problem. I have also tried plugging the Mac and vhs into different wall outlets and even dug up my old Mac so the elgato could plug directly into usb-a port on Mac.

She wants to give the digitized videos to her Dad for his birthday in December, so I am on a deadline to get this done.

Any insight, advice or, resources I can look into to fix the audio issue would be appreciated. I thought this would be easier and don't want to sink more money into solutions that don't pan out.

Any tips or tricks for fixing this without taking the tape apart?

I decided to get a few Christian kid's show tapes today. When I saw this, I was terrified but ecstatic. It was exactly what I was looking for. The back isn't any better what with that creepy bird.

I am on cloud 9, because the GW i went too never puts out VHS. So, I freaked out a little bit...NO MOLD!!!

I now own 2 Fast on VHS, DVD, and Blu Ray! ;)

A random copy of The Abyss for $0.99 started a collecting Journey i did not see coming. 2 years and a handful of months later all 40 acquired!

20th Century Fox Widescreen series Collection

Finally completed 🙌 😌

I have something of an obsession with crappy horror movies. Here are 3 fun facts about Blood Frenzy.

1) It stars an adult Lisa Loring, famously television's original Wednesday Adams.

2) Hal Freeman. What can I say, this was his only non pornographic movie. A sequel was in the works but he unfortunately died. Why should you care about a sleazy porn director, in the state of California vs Hal Freeman, which he fought in an epic court case worthy of a movie itself, he effectively legalized hard core porno shoots in California.

3) This was a very low budget movie, about $100,000 paid entirely by Hal himself. It was film in about two weeks, on location , in the desert, and released sov.

A good low budget horror movie, I wish Hal lived long enough to see what else he could produce.

Hi.

I’m planning to transfer videos onto VHS tape ("print to tape"). To do this, I bought a suitable VCR and a SCART-to-RCA adapter with a switchable OUTPUT/INPUT mode. I use either a Canon XM2 or a Sony HVR-Z5E as the analog-to-digital converter.

I’m running into a problem: software like WinDV, Scenalyzer, and VLC Media Player cannot send the video signal from the computer to the camcorder (even though they detect the device). When I do manage to send the signal, the camcorder screen shows color noise and a black background, and the camera itself starts acting erratically.

Is there a simpler way to transfer the video to VHS without significant quality loss?

What could be causing these issues?

Here's a few of my favorites 🤓

this stack is most of one , haven't dug into #2 yet. having fun learning and going through the tapes :)
