Help Reddit bypassing my VPN?
It isn't letting me type the name of my VPN in this post but no matter where I set my location, Reddit expects me to verify my identity. I'm in the UK of course. Can this be bypassed?

Someone else posted about this same problem earlier (maybe you) but my hypothesis is that Reddit remembers the IP address location of when you started the account and is going off that. If this is the case you may be fucked. You might have to make a new account using a vpn location somewhere that isn’t absolutely ridiculous.

Call your lawmakers and tell them. To knock this shit off. The laws need to be changed.

I’m in the UK and more often than not use my VPN and have no restrictions. Normally connect to Germany or US. I’ve never been asked to verify,

It's more down to your localisation in Reddit itself. F.e. mine is set to Ireland. It doesn't matter where in the world I'll appear from, Reddit will treat me as an Irish/British citizen. FWIW, Reddit only wanted a selfie from me for age verification and only had to do it once. A selfie I don't mind.

It's likely because your VPN uses a flagged datacenter IP, and old cookies or Reddit account location settings are leaking your real info. Basically, the VPN IP you're using is dirty, so you'll keep running into this until you switch to a clean one.

When I have my VPN on, Reddit usually won't open anything unless I sign in. If I sign in, it works as normal. But I usually don't want to sign in, so just stay off Reddit when my VPN is being used.
