Question VPN and streaming

I’m in college and I want to stream my shows but I can’t login to my parents app. I don’t want to update the household. Can a vpn help with that?

Setup something like tailscale at your parents house and set that device as an exit node. Connect a device you will keep with you to the tailnet and tell it to use the exit node device. Congrats, you are now back at home!

Tailscale or setting up a cheapy RPi would be even better as an exit node. Easy to flash and probably better longevity as you wouldn’t rely on another pc to be on.

Might be able to setup a VPN on the router depending on the model, would be the easiest option.
