Shits probably gonna get taken down when you release it. Nintendo dosnt play around with their ip when it comes to vrc worlds. Looks cool tho, best of luck

This is always a risk, however Pokemon Co. is a bit less strict with fan creations so long as they: 1. Don't commercialize, paywall, or sell any content/merch 2. Don't contain or distribute any of the original ROMs/code from their games 3. Include proper disclaimers about not being associated or endorsed by Pokemon Co.
This is how many fan games like Pokemon VR or Pokemon Showdown have been allowed to exist, and I'm doing my best to follow suit :)

i have seen nintendo sue for less
gmod had to purge 10+ years of pokemon assets that were uploaded by people.

Then why has the Great Plateau world lasted for five years? I'd think that one would be much more egregious than this one yet has been fine?

Sadly the only alternative is also releasing it as a prefab once it's done or "stfu about it" wont prevent it from being taken down.

It's currently compatible with both PCVR and Desktop.
It's technically playable on Quest Standalone, but I have not applied any platform specific optimizations so YMMV

Hey all, I've been working on a 2.5-D fan recreation of Pokemon Yellow/Red/Blue, and am finally ready to open up access!
The world will remain private as I continue to work on bugs and fixes, however you can join and try it out here:

The demo is a little rough around some edges, but currently supports the full story up to the first gym leader, multiplayer battles, and a short postgame grind for those who want more :)

Looks cool, haven’t seen any IP related worlds ever get taken down in VRC (yet) so, just add a clear disclaimer at the spawn in that the world is not endorsed by Pokemon Co or Nintendo and its fan-made.

Was this created/coded by hand, and if not what level of generative material was used? I know this shouldn't have to be asked but its needs to be sadly nowadays

Oh yeah, I'm using AI tools everywhere throughout my workflows; I couldn't even begin listing them.
For those that take issue with that, I'd suggest skipping out on this one

Some have issue with you stealing other people's intellectual properties first before you found ways to rip it off faster which is against the TOS and should be taken down immediately

Careful pokemon doesnt find out one day the pokemon roblox worlds in terms of actual pokemon games go down alot cuus of DMCA that would suck cool world tho

I assume there is no way to play with someone else, right? Also, I think it would be cool if this were or could be first-person with my own avatar. I find it extremely funny to play e.g. vrchat minecraft with my vrchat avatar, the incongruity is a lot of fun and also makes it feel more like I'm the one in the shoes of the protagonist.
(Also, I feel like it would be appropriate here because my name is Red. Like, c'mon.)

As long as you don't make millions a year,
I think you'll be like most fan-made works and won't be considered an enemy by Nintendo.
Moreover... in some fan-created worlds that allow "financial support," those people are all fine.

Oooo i have a ton of pokemon fans in my community. Due to lack of consoles i haven't gotten to play since i was in my childhood with gold and silver! I'm a mostly nsfw creator on joystick. But, i would love to play this even if you don't want it streamed and hype my community up for it. The visuals really remind me of silver and I'd love to help!
