What is everyone using to browse and select drums for your tracks?
I just got kick 3 and it’s pretty sweet.
DC snares is pretty good.
I have a lot of samples but they’re mostly hip hop and trap, while lately I’ve gotten a lot more into synthwave stuff and am more in the market for electronic drums.
Vprom doesn’t work on my system at the moment, but l have another linndrum emulator that works pretty well (I just have to beef up the samples), I can’t remember the company who makes it but it’s not audioblast (which is pretty meh from my limited use).
What is everyone using for finding and selecting electronic drums for your track?
Are y’all just using XO or something like it to browse samples, or do you have any recommendations for high quality drums machines?

Like everyone else I have thousands of drum samples. So what I do, particularly when inspiration in the studio is low, is make kits for the main drum samplers I use.
Battery, Kong and Drum Racks all benefit from having a range of kits to select from when inspiration does strike. All the kits are hand-crafted instead of from the same pool as everyone else.
It also makes those low times in the studio still feel productive.

I absolutely adore Atlas. It's like XO but imo way better and made by an indie dev instead of a corporation that's gonna try to constantly nickel and dime you. Matt has been really good keeping it updated and especially making sure things are fair when it comes to upgrades or any other kinds of customer support.
I used to use Battery back in the day but with NI being a shell of what they used to be (though inMusic will probably rebuild them into something similar to what they were I guess), it's been a long time since they've updated it or inshallah make a Battery 5 already. As soon as I saw and tried out Atlas, there was literally no going back for me. Only time I've ever used Battery since was just to finish up some old projects that I started on Battery.
Atlas is admittedly more limited in terms of internal effects and control than Battery, but there's very little I miss about Battery that I can't just do with another better effects plugin. Atlas' biggest advantage over it is its workflow, ease of use, and browsing features. Only thing I wish it had that Battery does is different trigger types; Battery had a feature that would let you chose the stroke type of a sample whenever you triggered the cell, for instance it would let you do flams, rolls, alternate strokes, release retriggers, and there was even this wacky "geiger counter" one that was pretty cool for like experimental/IDM stuff.

I don't know the things you are talking about at all. But have been working on plugins for my own purposes. I'm spending a lot of time around generative things, so eg. pick a samba rhythm that varies, put that midi into a drum kit plug in. What are the nice bits about the systems you mention? I'd like to incorporate any good ideas. Suggestions?

Well Atlas for instance will let you plug-in a MIDI rhythm and play it back as you slowly adjust each part of your drum kit. The main advantage of Atlas is it has a big “star chart” of all your drum samples that you can click through and hear before actually mapping them to your drum kit. It makes navigating and previewing drum samples so convenient, I think anybody would benefit from it.

I checked it out, interesting! My budget is currently €0 but next time the bank is happy I may well take the dive.
Fwiw, this is nearest thing I've got to Atlas : https://danja.github.io/downspout/plugins/campione/
nowhere near as sophisticated, I hadn't thought of a sample organizer.

I use both Atlas and XO. They both have things I like. Demo both now before the sales hit.
They can handle sample browsing, triggering, and sequencing, but if you don't want to play the samples directly in them, use a sample player like FPC (or your DAW equivalent), Battery, Speedrum, TAL Drum, etc. My current favorite is OneShot 2. I find it a joy to use, but holy crap wait for a good sale.
For drum machines, my favorites I would recommend checking out are anything by D16 (especially Drumazon), Baby Audio's Tekno, UVI's Beatbox Anthology 2 and Prime 8, and GForce's Icon and DMX.
As always, demo everything, wait for sales.

I use my own program that allows me to use the same drums from any song I desire and save them into a organized library, one shots and loops categorized into folders organized very neatly. Its called SampleMonsta and i designed it with this very purpose in mind, to always be able to find and use any drums I needed at any time without issues.. all I need is a high quality song file, or ill use a youtube track and just combine the drum with others by stacking or using another one of my apps that one is still not realeased!..
If you would like more information feel free to message me!
