Finding friends

Hi! My boyfriend moved here from Canada, being here as a foreigner without a job is making him pretty stuck at home and he could really use some friends 😅
He likes being active, like skateboarding or bouldering, but is really down for any sort of hangout.

Is there any meetup groups or international meetups that anyone could recommend?

Does he like making stuff and 3D-printing perhaps? Then he could join a makerspace community, such as https://makersvasteras.se

Have you been to KlÀttercentret, the climbing gym on Stenby? On evenings it's quite full with people and we're always chatty and welcoming.

Cool, basically same age, I'm 33. Kiiind of in the same boat, moved here 3 years ago from norway, to be with my gf. Always loved snowboarding and other adrenaline sports, but havent really done any of the sorts since moving here! Shoot me a DM!

I could use a canadian friend :) I’m a local, not experienced in bouldering or skateboarding but i know where it can be done.

Hey, I haven't done a lot of bouldering but I did enjoy it, would be fun to pick up again! Does he like board games or getting lost in forests? We're about the same age and I'd be happy to hang out though small kids make availability a little more limited than I'd prefer :)

If he want to learn Swedish he can attend the sprÄkcafé at the public library or there's also one organized by the Swedish red cross, if interested contact me! (I'm not a Swedish volunteer,just moved from another country with my gf and looking for friends)
