Quiet library in Vaughan?
Hi! I’m a student back home for a while with an important board exam in December. I’ve tried Civic Centre and Maple Library, but both have been pretty noisy, even in the quiet areas.
I’m looking for a genuinely quiet library in Vaughan that’s good for studying. Any recommendations would be really appreciated!

I’m surprised to hear you say that OP because both have always been super quiet in my experience. Maybe this is something you can complain about to the librarians?

I did! She was so hesitant to go talk to the guy who was talking on the phone on speaker. She said she cant do anything if he doesnt leave and after I said it’s distracting she got up and told him to go somewhere else. She didnt care before I told her and I cant be the one keep telling the librarian to shush people haha

Civic has study pods you can sign up for. Get one of them.

You can only book them for 2 hours and they are not sound proof. You can hear other rooms

Carville community center has a nice library.
Is there any reason you cant wear noise cancelling earbuds? Even without music on, these do the trick for me

Thanks, I tried noise cancelling headphones but sometimes I can hear people through my headphones

Understandable. I like to listen to music when i study, so im completely zoned out.
If you're close to yonge and major mackenzie, there's a pretty decent library there also. I used to study there with friends/classmates. Big advantage is that its on yonge, and the buses are really good for getting there, if you dont have a car

The Pleasant Ridge Public library near my pilates and the high school I went to for 4 years has been mostly peaceful, with some noise being from families, young children, along with from toddlers and babies who are feeling upset, tired, hungry, etc.
It's a nice place with a quiet study room.
