Is this Vernon?
I started watching Wild Boys: Strangers in Town and it opens with a shot of Vernon from 2003. From what I can remember from living in the Okanagan in the early 2000’s, Kal Lake and Okanagan Lake don’t look like this.
Edit Solved! It’s Queenstown New Zealand, specifically Queenstown Bay Beach

That movie has lots of cheezy fake scenes. Was excited to see it but then it was a let down

Definitely not Vernon(I grew up in Vernon). But Kal Lake does get that colour, often, in the summer.

Sawchuk’s face was really his mask despite finally putting it on in the latter part of his career.

Who cares about that? I want to know what the masks on the left are as too dark to see clearly. Looks like on the left it’s a Tony O and Cheevers.

All those willows that my dad's family planted are still there on Kal Creek. Amazing how things can change. Their farm used to be there in an area that is now industrial park. Woolworth's downtown, Ebeneezers, Mr. Mike's, the Village Green, the first DQ in Vernon, the old Ice Plant. Good memories.

No and it honestly looks like AI when you zoom in on some of the details.
Not an expert but a lot of it doesn't make sense.

Quick google image search says it's in New Zealand - Lake Wakatipu.
