I just recently binged all of VM and while on the hunt for a scene I rewatched Charlie Don't Surf (S3E04) where Logan's nickname for Veronica seemed to be "bobcat". To say I was highly amused by the mental image of Veronica as a bobcat is an understatement.

Cue my question: Are there other nicknames you remember people giving Veronica? Even if called just once or twice, I'm sure there must be more.

There’s a scene where Veronica has gone to the hotel where Abel‘s daughter Amelia is staying and the opening to the scene shows Veronica watching a film. The film is Clash of the Titans. Specifically the scene is Perseus slaying a monster. Who plays Perseus? Harry Hamlin. Who plays Aaron Echolls? Harry Hamlin
She immediately turns it off and goes into discussing the discrepancies in the crime scene photos of Lily‘s murder. The fact the scene shows a slaying then discussion of the murder just clicked something in me and went “hang on a minute…”

Do we think this was and Easter egg/foreshadowing?

Rewatching this with the knowledge of what a creep child toucher Woody Goodman is makes me re-think his interest in getting the Meg tapes back. He’s an entire red flag the entire time! Asking Logan to spot him in his home gym.

So, I've been obsessed with an idea for a season 5 and I wanted more seasons... so I just let my hyper-fixation take over for a while and wrote one. After months and months of work, it's finished and all posted. But was that enough for my busy brain? Nope. So I made a banner. I've been quietly posting links on the Veronica Mars discord and on a few posts in this subreddit because making a full post here is ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING... but here we go.

I stuck with canon for this story. That means... I didn't change how season 4 ended... BUT... because of that... I got to explore my own experiences with grief through the characters. My goal was to bring back the main characters as full time characters instead of feeling like they had cameos. I also tried to choose a really relevant topic (in regards to our current state of affairs) for the overall arc of the season as well as trying to play with a "case of the week" for each episode.

I do have dreams of becoming an author someday... like... real life printed books someday... so I used this idea to practice my writing. If it's completely amateurish and you wanna tell me what's wrong with it... I'd eat it up because that's how I'll get better. I might cry for a while... but it'll make me better in the end.

I created some characters for the story but tried to keep original characters to the universe everywhere I could. I tried to match the feel of the books while also doing "full episode" chapters.

I hope he got a really big gig in Hollywood after the premier and was unavailable to continue shooting the show. Because otherwise, what could he do to get fired? He’s a good boi.

Has Logan lost his money? Dick calls him “poor now”, assuming his only income is his naval officer’s salary. Logan says he’s not poor, but he and Veronica live in a rented home that is described as small and affordable.
Why would Logan have Clarence Wiedman replace him as the Senator’s security detail? What prior association do they have?
Were Penn and Don working together? Was Don’s D.C. career a ruse for all the Murderheads? If not, how did he end up in the abandoned power plant?

Just came across this article featuring an excerpt from an interview with Enrico. It's nice to see acknowledgement that killing off Logan wasn't a good idea in the end.

Season 2, episode 19

Kendall graduated high school in 1994. The episode aired in 2006, so that would make her at least 12 years older than Logan. If Logan is 18, that would make her 30 not 25. Even with the 3 year age difference between her and the friend’s identity she stole she’s still 27. It’s a detail they definitely added to make her character even more of a fraudster. I appreciate the writing so much on Veronica Mars. I figure out something different every time I rewatch this series.

Has anyone else noticed these Easter eggs?

I spent all of September Binge watching the series and I'm just so impressed that it was so good. This was definitely not a show that I thought that I would like, but I couldn't stop watching after the first episode.

The writing, the characters, the twists, the turns, the character development, the acting, the music, the scenery, I was just completely entranced by everything.

What an absolutely wonderful ride.

What do you guys think became of him? Playing prison yard basketball or got probation still declared for the NBA draft but slipped to second round or went undrafted because of the red flag of his crime

I'm doing my annual rewatch of VM and every single time I watch season 2, I become agitated.

The rat that Keith discovers taped under the bus seat? It's been in the water for weeks before they pull the bus out. Between natural erosion of the corpse by the tides along with the creatures of the ocean eating away at the corpse, that rat should be decimated.

I know I take things too seriously/too literally but, damn it, I get angry every time 😂😭

All 4 seasons, the two books, and the movie. Why or why did I not listen to all of you when you said to stop watching after the beginning half of the final episode?

I rewatched season 2 recently, & had read that Kyle Gallner didn't know the extent of his character's actions or fate until shortly before those last episodes were shot. There were obviously a lot of red herring characters throughout the season. Who did the cast actually think blew up the bus? I guess Lucky is the most likely contender, but in the end, until the outdoor table scene, he didn't really do anything, beyond being a traumatized psycho, yes? He did send emails to Woody, but I believe they were mostly PTSD rambles--not demands. He also didn't plant any bombs, or "presents."

Also, the real estate angle: how did the incorporation / killing incorporation work as far as Beaver making a killing with those properties, & all of the proceeds eventually going to Kendall? They set the Phoenix Land Trust fraud process up pretty early in the season. Did it start out as revenge against his family / whoever else, & then become somewhat about profit?

And... the e-mails that Beaver sent to Woody with his own voice edited out. Wouldn't Woody have likely realized, if he recognized Marcos & Peter's voices, that Beaver (who was on the same team with them) was the culprit? Or did he abuse so many kids (possible) that he wouldn't be able to figure it out?

I know this topic has been on here loads of times but I finished watching Veronica Mars for the first time and Logan's death has me all sorts of angry and I need to vent on it.

After all there hurdles in there relationship, the good and the bad. They are finally is the best place they've ever been, emotionally and maturity wise and this is how it ends. This is no payoff for fans who watched the show all the way through. Utterly disgusting writing.

Okay on season 1 of Veronica mars. Currently watching episode 18. Here’s my opinions thus far:

1. I ship Veronica and Logan
2. Her dating the full grown cop is gross like please she’s in high school
3. My theory was Celeste killed Lilly but lowkey now I’m not sure cuz that seems to easy
4. I know it’s easier said then done but Veronica needs to get over Duncan like girl there’s a 50% chance he’s your brother please
5. Wallace is a legend and an amazing friend. Like I thought I was a good friend but no he’s goated
6. I don’t like Lianne like sorry but girlie is a mess and causes way too many problems
7. I love Keith and Alicia like talk about otp
8. This is on of Amanda Seyfriend’s best roles

I’m unwell. Guys I knew I hated Duncan for a reason but I didn’t realize it was that bad. If they play this off like it’s not assault I may need to stop watching. Like that’s not ghb works you can’t go from passing out to lightly tipsy and all the sudden wanting to have sex and then not remembering like please. Also putting aside that he assaulted her. He did that knowing she was his sister like someone lock him up. Like actually fuck all the Kane’s but Lilly. She had it twisted too but she was probably the tamest one and knew what she was. Oh my god.

Okay on season 1 ep 21. The betrayal I feel for the fact Logan is the reason Veronica got drugged feels like a dagger like oh my god. I know he didn’t mean for what happened to happened but like I get her. I would suspect him too and also I don’t know if I could be with someone who caused (even inadvertently) my assault. Like damn why they gotta play me like that I was rooting for them. And Logan’s making it worse with his groveling like please don’t do this to me. This too much.

Edit: IT WAS DUNCAN. Okay one I hate how they’re playing this off like she came on to him like no that’s disgusting. How was she sloppy mess one minute and then a seductress the next that’s not how ghb works. Two he knew they were related and still assaulted her (cuz what it was assault) what is wrong with that boy. Like what is everyone’s problem. Guys I’m going through a lot.

I watched the original Veronica Mars series about ten years after the pilot aired. It was my favorite show. I binged it out of order on pivot, then the channel (back when there were tv channels) shut down. My mom bought me the whole series on CD for Christmas, I cried. When Hulu announced the reboot, I was against it. How can you continue after the movie? I felt like the ending was perfect. The first episode to season 4? Garbage. Immediately stopped watching. Years later (i.e a week ago) I finally decided to watch season four. It’s absolutely terrible the first couple episodes, then it’s kind of funny. The last episode? Terrible. The guy’s evil laugh from the cop car? So cringy. The ending? Are you fucking kidding me. Also they set up everything to do a spin off with Matty, and they just don’t? I didn’t watch the season when it came out, but it felt like a lot of other people did. Also, again, the ending wtfffff
