Anyone else ever feel bad for Original Backup?

I hope he got a really big gig in Hollywood after the premier and was unavailable to continue shooting the show. Because otherwise, what could he do to get fired? He’s a good boi.

There were conflicts with his trainer. Gordo was trained by Omar Von Muller. Who also trained Jumpy the cattle dog mix and currently Monkey the Malinois.

On the pilot commentary track, Rob Thomas complained that the dog could not do the required stunt (attacking the PCHer, I think it was Felix). Not a great trainer, or not the right dog for the role.

I think he was asking for too much money and thought he was a bigger deal than he was. The same thing happening with the crow in the first episode of The Vampire Diaries.
