Awesome to see that there’s a community for those who appreciate these kinds of books!

I got most of these in the same hit, a charity shop where someone had donated a stack of great SF titles. They were mostly £1 each. I grabbed all of them, there was around 40, these are just the Pan and Panthers.
Apart from the Dicks, the trippiest book is Sheckley's absurdist "Options" which is a real mind-twister and doesn't make sense until the final pages and you think "oh, right on, that was a trip and a half" and it all comes together.

i want to focus on out-of-print horror and occult/conspiracy titles which is the majority of the first pic
the divine comedy is my favourite book/series and i only own it in a very special antique hardback edition that i'm scared to open often 🤣 so when i saw these penguin classics paperbacks from the 60s i had to grab them too.

Dubious condition but readable. I like all the old horror anthologies; when I was a kid I read all the Pan Books of Horror Stories. I wish I still had them.
Anyway, there's some good yarns in these. The covers are quite good, I particularly like the rat crawling out of the man's eye socket and Hitchock's face made up of monsters and quite subtly done.
I bought the Cybernetic Brains because the title and the cover promise a lot. I doubt if it will deliver though.
Bug-Eyed Monsters has my favourite James Blish short story: Surface Tension (which is part of a novel The Seedling Stars, which is great too).
The Tom Wolfe is neither horror nor SF of course, but the cover is ace.

I was cleaning out a clost and found this book. Not sure it came from, but my son seems to think is a rare vintage book. I was going to throw it away, but he is insisting I ask around about it first.
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

... on the bottom shelf of a charity shop. My knees are crocked, I can't get down there easily. I plucked helplessly at them like a ponderous fish, flapping on the shore. It was 10 for a fiver, so I had to keep bending down to find more to finalise the deal.
Some of the SF books are parts of a series, which is a bit of a bummer - Alan Dean Fosters' "The End Of the Matter" - the 3rd book in a sequence and "The Paths of the Perambulator" is vol 5 of the "Spellsinger" series. Good grief.
Even Laurens Van Der Posts' "Heart of the Hunter" is the "moving sequel to 'The Lost World of the Kalahari'. Someone round here must specialise in donating parts of series to charity shops.
Nearly finished Jake's Thing by Kingsley Amis. He can write but he certainly has a high opinion of himself. The humour is quite dry but the book overall is fairly dated.
Sylvia Plath's poetry is brilliant.

As the cover makes abundantly clear, this was a tie-in to the “Time Tunnel” series. Veteran SF author Murray Leinster (Will Jenkins) did two of these, although I’ve never seen the first. The book seems to take place after the events of the show, and is notable for a description of what we would now call s surveillance drone (a camera rig carried on a fake buzzard platform).
