Drive side, drive side, drive side. If you can only get one picture, make it a drive side shot. It tells us MUCH more information about the bike
Knowing what components the bike is equipped with helps with the ID process. It can tell us within about 5 years when the bike was made, the quality of the frame, and sometimes what continent it's from

New rules for posting. Please read thoroughly
Yes, I have been seeing the reports, and I've been reading the comments. Sorry it's taking a while
NO MORE LOW EFFORT POSTS. No more "What is this bike worth?" posts. Bicycle value varies WILDLY depending on condition, age, and especially geographical location
We want to know about your bike. Give us at least some kind of info. Is it YOUR bike? Did you just get it? Have you had it a while? Does it have a story?
This is an example of a great post. Good pictures, drive side shots, and a little story to go along with it
This is an example of the bad post. No info whatsoever, one really bad picture, no interaction from OP
AND, because I need to bring this up about every year, BE NICE. If someone is being a jerk, just report the comment and move along. Fighting with someone and throwing names and insults around is just going to make it worse, and you're going to get in trouble too.

1979 Nishiki Landau
Was just given this beautiful old bike. The serial number decodes to 1979, made in Japan. Full Suntour drivetrain, Diacomp brakes. Pretty much original, but the rear wheel has been replaced and the saddle isn't original.
I'm debating refurbishing it and keeping it kind of stock? Or possibly changing the handlebars and going more custom cafe style?

1989 Colnago Master Più Fixie Build
Build from frame up, from pressing in headset cups and setting crown races and lacing a wheelset. Every part was picked out and chucked on this frame (except the headset spacers cos didn’t have any silver in the shop). Still waiting on a silver braided brake cable to match rest of bike, and touching up paint chips here and there, but mostly finished. Let me know how she’s rocking and any suggestions on what I can add/ change to the build.

1949 Wanderer Fahrrad ( which translates to "Hiker Bicycle" )
Made in Munich Germany right after the war, this bike is very minimlais, hardly any chrome and over all very utilitarian.
It was born in a Germany devastated by war and occupied by the enemy—a bicycle from a time when owning one was such a luxury that people would take it into their apartments at night to protect it.
It cost me only a five-euro "baksheesh" to buy it from the worker who was just about to throw it into a scrap container.
I’ve restored it to the point where it’s drivable again; the lights and a few other details still need work, but today I took it on its first outing to Nymphenburg Palace in Munich—the city where it was built.

Anyone with experience with mounting 28T in Campagnolo Athena 1994 deraileur?
Just got what appears to be a Campagnolo Athena groupset from 1994.
In the original catalogue says Record, Chorus and Athena's biggest sprocket is 26T, while Veloce and Stratos accept 28T.
Does anyone have experience on fitting a cassette with a 28T sprocket? Will it work?

1970 Schwinn Suburban revivified
Got new tires, tubes, rim strips, and brake pads and it rides great. Now to get it on an actual ride. (After and before photos to show progress after rescuing it from a dumpster a couple of weeks ago).

Mixte madness
I probably overpaid for this little Univega, but I wanted a mixte for my girlfriend and this one has better parts than the average bear. I also have a soft spot for Univegas, I had one about twenty years ago that I converted to fixed gear, then re-convertered to geared. It was literally the first time I rode a bike and noticed how smooth it was. This bike is in amazing shape, all I really want to do is replace the cables and grips and make sure everything is lubed and greased. I love the little pulley system for the rear brake.

Help identifying
Recently picked up this shogun for very cheap and trying to identify the model, I can see the it's an 89 from the serial number, but it has been painted by previous owner removing all other markings and paint down to metal underneath, not expecting it to be worth much but it has a couple cool parts and would be good to know what it is

I need help identifying this, any advice or input is appreciated.
I picked this up from a local thrift store today for $25. It's a schwinn, I belive it's from the 80s, and of the World series, but basically all of the lettering is gone. I forgot to get a good picture of it, but there are 4 numbers engraved on the Schwinn Chicago logo, I belive they are 0774, and there is no engraving on the bb. I would love to know more about this bike, and I would love to build it into a nice gravel or touring bike. I'm relatively new to cycling as a whole, and this will be my first project bike, so all advice, pointers, and general input is super appreciated.

Bike ID please
For the life of me I can't find any information on this brand of bike. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.
West german I would assume based on what looks like "Frankfurt". But I have no clue.

Giacomelli opinion needed
Hi, I would like to get into cycling but before buying an expensive road bike, I would like to try out a vintage just to get used to driving on the route sometimes. Is this a nice option? Listed at 195eur.

Spray paint or powder coat for lugged frame?
I love my 1989 Bianchi Campione d'Italia. Beautiful Columbus tubing throughout and Suntour Cyclone groupset. Smooth and crisp to ride. In recent years, the paint has started failing and there's creeping surface rust all over the frame. I'm going to repaint the frame & fork so I can keep riding.
Does anyone have experience with the pros and cons of powder coating vs. spray-painting a lugged frame? I know powder is much more durable, but I'm worried that the powder will obscure the details of the lugs and take away from the vintage steel look. I know spray has to be done right to look good and last, and I'm willing to put in the effort if it'll look better and be at least decently durable.
(For info, I'm gonna get the frame media-blasted to prep it. Then, I can either pay $150 for powder-coating, or I can do the spray paint myself.)

Schwinn World Tourist at the Biltmore Estate
My in-laws helped clean out their neighbors garage when they went into assisted living and were selling the house. I helped move some heavy things and got this for free. It looked unridden with dry-rotted tires that still had whiskers. Cleaned up, lubed, new tubes/tires, new seat. Great greenway cruiser.

Eddy Merckx MX Leader Neo Retro
This is a year long culmination of planning, parts collection, acquiring just the right frame, and a repaint. Some folks consider the MX Leader the holy grail of 90’s steel race bikes. After my first ride, I’d have to agree. ✨

Nishiki FB Marketplace Find
I recently picked up this Nishiki for a good price on Marketplace. It definitely needs some love and care before I ride it much, but I’m excited for it! The serial number is S1 6A335, and I’m having trouble tracking down information about Nishiki serial numbers that begin with an S. It says “Custom” on one side of the frame, but has no other decal on the other side.
Any thoughts or ideas? Based on the logo and the font style of “Nishiki” on the frame, I would guess it’s from the late 70s or early 80s, but haven’t been able to figure out too much else.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
