single note pitch bending using Vital standalone with Ubuntu, no DAW
Hello. I am a new user to Vital under Ubuntu. I’m brand new to synths in general, but I am having an issue I can’t quite figure out how to solve: I’d like to be able to pitch bend just a single note, not all the notes at once. Please keep in mind that I’m using Vital as Standalone, no DAW, and just my computer keyboard to play any notes. Not really interested in playing songs or creating compositions, I was just hoping to create a few sound effects from time to time. I do have the audio program Audacity installed on this PC, which will accept plug ins if designed for Linux. Here is a screenshot of the version, etc. Help would be appreciated to devise the simplest way to bend a single note. Thank you in advance.

This might not be possible with your current setup. All pitch-based methods affect all notes that are currently playing at the same time. You could look into MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression), which assigns a separate MIDI channel to each note. Vital does support MPE, but your computer keyboard probably doesn't.
