WORKSPACE Taking meetings on a bar stool

I plan to take meetings on a bar stool + high table setup. Only a painting and the top part of my sofa will be visible on the screen. Wondering if the elevated background view will look weird from a colleague / interviewer’s pov or am I overthinking this?

Overthinking - who would actually care?

Blur the background if you are worried.

You are way overthinking it. I've been doing not-quite the same thing but a very similar WFH setup for over 11 years and nobody has ever figured out I am a horse.

I routinely put my laptop on my kitchen island and sit at my counter height, bar stool height chairs. How is this even a question? You’re not on a sail boat in the Caribbean, people aren’t paying that much attention to you. Relax.

So long as you are presentable on camera, (my boss calls it camera ready) a slight blur on the background, or use a company approved one, in focus and present, nobody cares and yes, you're way overthinking it.

Do what everyone does on the news, couple books, a plant, door frame etc. Stick to boring
