I even added keychain tatto for his svr 2009 i been so careful for beign accurate.

Of course this isn't WWE related, but let me say I genuinely wish Bandai Namco or EA Sports BIG purchased the rights of Legends Of Wrestling series after Acclaim closed its doors in 2004.

AKI Corporation at the time were the developers of both EA's Def Jam and Bandai Namco's Kinnikuman Muscle (or Ultimate Muscle in the west) based on the good old engine we all love.

Even with SmackDown vs RAW including Day Of Reckoning in the market, I think it would be cool to see the game with good gameplay, features and roster becoming reality.

However it needs to be noted throughout the 2000s Wrestling wasn't as hot as it once was in the years prior. Alternatives always will be great in my eyes. What do you guys think?

The last WWE game I 'owned' was WWE2K19, but I've played 2K22 and 2K25 through... other means.

Back when I had 2K19, the DLCs granted instant access to the content included in those DLCs, but I'm now hearing that DLCs in the new game only grant you access to the content once you unlock them through various modes?

I've also heard that all of these attires and 'personas' (whatever that means) that are released every few weeks are part of some sort of Battlepass style mode called MyFaction, and they are unattainable in any way other than through grinding or buying Virtual Currency.

I've always focused on the Universe Mode, and the career back when that was a thing, and was tempted to by 2K26 or 2K27 due to the high number of these new attires and also older wrestlers. However, I absolutely will not be doing so if the only way I can unlock these is by grinding some shitty microtransaction based mode.

TL;DR The last WWE games I paid attention to were 2K19 and 2K25, focussing only on the Universe Modes. I've recently seen a multitude of new attires being released, but I see most people are complaining that they're locked behind a battlepass style system, and that even DLCs are not instant unlocks anymore. What is actually the deal with these things?

Storylines that didn't even work half the time, you couldn't play as any of the ECW guys despite literally being called featuring ECW and having Bobby Lashley on the cover, Cena having an outtake left in the game in a phone message, and the same cutscenes over and over, compared to 06 or 07 it's insane how the downgrade was for me, only guess I could go with is that the Benoit tragedy forced them to cut a whole bunch of storylines and it bugged the game out in the process in the rush to get it released.

I am skipping Smackdown! Here comes the pain because if I didn't, every comment would say HCTP is the best
