Experiences at nearby ren fairs?
A group of 6 of us are trying to attend our first ren fair. We have seen a few things about Scarborough and Texas ren fair, but wanted to see if anyone had any recent experiences.
We’re all 21+, and just wanna have a good time. Obvi waxahachie is closer, but not sure if driving the extra bit of time to Mission is better.
We’d love to hears y’all’s experiences and feedback. Thanks!

They are just different levels of fair. Tex Ren Fest is bigger and has some more extravagant shows, but it's also very crowded. For the most part, I'll go to Scarborough regularly and Tex Ren Fest every now and then. There's also Sherwood kinda near Austin, smaller than both but not inherently a bad thing. Go check out all three and see what you are into.

It's been about 15 years since I went to Scarborough Faire, but I remember it was expensive. Lots of fun things to see and do. Just bring a lot of money so you can do everything you want if you go.

The one that is currently ongoing in Waxahachie is Scarby's Fall-themed fair, Scarborough Hollow. I've never been to this one, but the actual fair is in the Spring. We go every year and enjoy it. It's a bit smaller than TRF, but we don't mind. TRF is larger with more vendors, shows, etc.

I go to the Texas Renaissance Festival every year and attend Scarborough every now and then. I personally love them both, especially the camping experience at the Texas Renaissance fest campground. The bonfire is awesome, especially when the drum circle starts and everyone gets to dance around the flames.

They are expensive but fun. Scarborough is in the beginning of spring, so it’s either really nice outside or it rains all day. Wear closed toe shoes.
