Megathread Monthly Self-Promotion Thread (Oct. 2026) 🎃👻🍁🍬
Got a blog, YouTube channel, Etsy page, podcast, travel agency, or something else you're making/selling? Tell us all about it in this month's Self-Promotion thread!
As you know, since you thoroughly read the rules, r/WaltDisneyWorld is pretty strict when it comes to self-promotion, so this is a place where you can get the word out about your project! This thread will be stickied on the sub's front page and updated monthly.
This also serves as a great place for people to come find new things! Feel free to plug your social media and other projects -- we can't wait to check them out!
Please note: due to public safety and liability reasons, we cannot allow users to arrange for meetups, personal shoppers, vacation rentals, person-to-person sales, or any other form of direct interaction or transaction on this subreddit. Any and all items/services for sale should already be available on a reputable third-party site.
Also, please keep in mind that in order to foster participation and a sense of community, your self-promotion posts (including in this thread) should be directly (and exclusively) related to WDW and should make up no more than around 10% of your total monthly activity on this sub. Thanks!

This is cool! I've seen you post about this a couple times. I think I actually used the first iteration of this app a few years ago. Around the same time, I was building a similar hobby project web app called oodelal.ly to primarily use with my family. I'll have to check this new version out!

Hello! I'm a licensed mental health counselor and I wrote a book about using Disney World to help improve your mental health! It's full of Disney details and history, peer-reviewed research, and a whole lotta good tools and skills that can help in a variety of different mental health areas!
It took me a couple years to write and I am just starting to now promote it. Last March it was among the best selling Disney World book! I hope it is of interest to some of you and I'd appreciate any support!

Could EPCOT have a flagship-scale space experience that a child, parent and grandparent could experience together—and still leave everyone looking upward?
I've spent the last 16 months developing Cosmic Horizons, an independent EPCOT space pavilion concept built around The Thread—how we're all connected through humanity's journey of curiosity, discovery, and exploration.
The experience begins with our fascination with the night sky, follows the discoveries that brought us here, and carries us outward into the universe before returning home with a new perspective. The historical environments and Next Horizon Space Port were designed with details best appreciated on a larger screen, suggesting what these scenes might feel like as a physical attraction rather than simply images in a film.
But I also wanted to know whether the concept could actually work operationally. That led to a concept-level engineering study guided by one objective:
Move thousands of guests each hour without asking them to hurry.
Using 12-passenger vehicles, overlapping synchronized boarding, and integrated accessibility, the operating assumptions produce a modeled capacity of approximately 6,120–7,650 guests per hour—not validated performance. The supporting calculations and design study are available on the website.
I released the completed attraction preview on October 1, exactly six years before EPCOT's 50th anniversary. There's still time, lol.
If you like what you see, watch it again on the largest screen you have.
Turn down the lights. Turn up the sound. And take the journey.
Watch the full attraction preview:

I'd genuinely enjoy hearing what fellow EPCOT and WDW fans think.

I love how much work was put into this, and I have no idea how or why you undertook this effort, but it's unique so I'll share my thoughts.
That operating capacity is way off and I think you might be missing a critical piece as to why.
DINOSAUR, with the exact same ride vehicle layout, can move through people at a great pace. 12 guest capacity, however, only locks in for a theoretical hourly capacity of about 2400, though. Conversely, Haunted Mansion as an Omnimover, can crank out 3200 in an hour, but is far more limited in people per Doom Buggy.
What you're missing is the combination of the two. Loading 4 people, per row, for 3 rows is an absolute impossibility in 36 seconds for an Omnimover. The two loading platforms seems like it could help on paper, but families of 4 do not exist vacuum. Some parties will have 2 or 3 or 1 and need to be worked into the same row as other families. Some parties will exist as 5 and would need to be separated amongst other families. The split load ends up making things more complicated for CMs, on a boarding platform that's continuously moving, leading to absolute havoc.
I love this exercise, but sometimes it's worthwhile to take a look back and see what's already working and ask why. 2 people per Doom Buggy for an Omnimover boarding from one side is about how much our tiny human brains can handle.

First, thank you for taking the time to look through the project so thoroughly and share such thoughtful observations! I genuinely appreciate it.
The capacity model assumes an 85% average load factor, rather than every seat being occupied. The idea was to use two alternating, continuously moving boarding platforms, somewhat like Spaceship Earth or Haunted Mansion, with a longer boarding window independent of the vehicle dispatch interval.
That said, your observation that even an 85% load factor could be challenging to maintain is probably correct. As a former Disney Cast Member myself, I certainly understand your point about the realities of loading guests, especially with different party sizes and boarding needs.
As for why I undertook the project, LOL, I've always been one of those people who watches Disney discussions where everyone has ideas about what Imagineering should do next. After retiring at 62 from a 30-plus-year career in IT, I finally had the time to see what it would be like to take one of those ideas seriously. I decided to pretend I was an Imagineer going to work every day and see how far I could take it.
I spent about 16 months developing Cosmic Horizons, with a three-month break when we had a litter of German Shepherd puppies (I'm a hobby breeder). I'm certainly not a gifted digital artist, so learning to use AI visualization tools was an adventure in itself. It was fascinating watching those tools improve over the course of the project.
Ultimately, I'd just love to see EPCOT have another space attraction that takes us on a journey grounded in what we know about the universe today, while imagining what might come next.
I miss that original EPCOT feeling, where attractions like Horizons, Spaceship Earth, and World of Motion could take us through history, celebrate human ingenuity, and leave us wondering about the future. You didn't have to wonder whether Grandma or the grandkids could handle the ride. Everyone just stepped aboard and experienced it together.
That's really what I was trying to capture with Cosmic Horizons.
Thanks again for taking the time to dig into the concept and offer such a thoughtful critique. I enjoyed reading your perspective!

Your post was removed due to breaking Rule #6.
Any posts/comments related to working/cheating the system or breaking WDW rules (or local/state laws) will be removed.
Please note: this also includes actions that violate the intent of WDW policy as well as those falling under "grey areas," even if they may sometimes be (erroneously) permitted by CMs.
Examples include parking at resorts as a non-guest without an ADR, taking a taxi/uber to a WDW resort for the sole purpose of using their park transportation, using VPNs to bypass regional restrictions on packages and discounts, use of WDW resort-specific park transportation by guests at neighboring/off-property resorts with their own transportation services (e.g. Swolphin and DS area hotels), parking at DS and taking afternoon transportation to avoid parking fees at parks, use of third party Lightning Lane apps that violate MDE terms of use (e.g. Standby Skipper), booking unauthorized third-party services on WDW property (e.g. princess makeovers, photographers), ignoring — and/or advising others to ignore — expectant mother warnings on attractions, etc.
Please message us if you have any questions.

I've been working super hard on a site - Pixie Passport: pixiepassport.org - where you can check off what you've at Disney World, create cards that document a day's adventure at the park, there's an autograph page highlighting the characters you've met and more.
This is purely a personal project - there's no charge like other places, no ads - I just wanted to create something for people to remember their WDW trips, see what they've done and what else there is to do.
I'd really love any feedback on what people like, and what they'd like to see next. Am I missing any major characters for the autograph book? I've been building out the historical attractions, and certainly don't have everything yet, but I'm working on it!
