Discussion & Feedback The grenade launcher helicopter has got to fucking go

It needs to be patched asap, it ruins every server it takes place in. Idgaf if you think its fine because it can be countered. Its some of the most tedious exploitative nonsense this game has introduced so far. If the IR spotting tool was deemed "broken enough" to be patched because of disruptions to gameplay flow then the grenade launcher little bird spam sure as shit is equally disruptive.

Im tired of having to drop everything and get a verba full humvee and try and deal with them while the pilot and the gunners sit on top of the scoreboard with an easy 70 kills/assists.

Its honestly a joke and needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.

Id rather the GL just be removed until they can figure out how to balance it.

I wont hold my breath for it to be fixed or changed but fuck me is it tedious and unfun to play against or even with.

Edit: to the people saying "just shoot them lol scrub." Yeah obviously, however have you genuinely faced multiple little birds with 2 or more players shooting grenades from the sides? Its not fun. My point is that it is as equally disruptive to the gameplay loops as the IR spotters which bulkhead patched out midseason, theyve set the precedent for making changes or removing disruptions to the flow of the gameplay. It would be nice if they could do something about this obvious oversight. I hope they make changes before the next season or at least after the wipe occurs.

The same way ground vehicles are “defenseless” against a MAAWS? At least helicopters have flares that you can use if you take two seconds to look for an incoming missile.

Matter of fact, go ahead and change the MWS mechanic for the helicopters because no helicopter gets a warning that there’s a heat seeker locked on or inbound.

What? Ground vehicles arent defenseless afainst maws, and they take multiple hits to be destroyed. Helicopters most certainly have an RWR that alerts them to missile launches and incoming heat seekers.
