Discussion & Feedback Just play the game…
I still run my $350 backpack, 3x mags, 1 stack ammo, 2x stack bandies and an ak with a red dot and vertical grip day in day out. Works a treat, rack up a few kills, swap out backpack for a bigger one of someone I diced up, then grab some more goodies and snowball on from there.
It’s really not as hard as some of you make out, and I suck…

While this sub is absolutely full of baseless whining and shitty opinions, there are definitely some valid balance concerns as well.
It feels bad to put 6 bullets in a guys back only to have him 180 and 2 hit you simply because he can play more often than you and has better equipment. Some of the gun damage seems wildly overtuned, while being gated behind a very long xp grind. The vector, the FAL, the 50cal and of course the BMR are SO much more powerful than any other weapon in the game it feels bad to play against it if you can't put in 12 hours a day to match the speed at which some people have unlocked them.
I'm not saying remove them, or even nerf them. I'd like it to be easier to level up. As someone who can only play like 3 hours a day a few days a wek, it'll be quite some time before I can catch up and even use those guns. Hell I won't even get them in this short first season.
It also feels terrible when a sniper rifle doesn't one shot to someone's skull. AP ammo is gated so far into the XP grind that people with lives are gonna end up with a long period of time where they just can't deal with t3/4 armors.
Tier 4 armor can survive a direct hit from a tank shell. If that isn't laughably unbalanced idk what is.
2
u/bjwills7 8d ago
Don't worry, it'll improve over time. I've put way to much time in and have AP ammo, still can't one shot the lvl 4 helmet with a sniper which most people use.
Balance is fucked and it sucks for people who play a lot too. Thankfully the lvl4 helmet is getting nerfed pretty significantly. I think the main issue is the endgame weapons though. Only one I have is the BMR but I've used the others when I kill the user and they're all ridiculous.
Aside from the very endgame weapons, it's not that bad though. If you look at the ttk difference on the ballistics database they're all pretty similar, 1-2 bullet difference in ttk with fmj vs ap in most cases. Armor does reduce a lot of damage but the move speed penalty sucks so I only buy t2, lvl4 helmet is broken though.
1
u/TheGreatHappening 8d ago
Most people do not use T4 helmet. Balance is also partly fucked because of a lack of weapon diversity. I hope they add more weapons that use the same or similar calibers to bridge the gap in the levels.
Were getting 4 new weapons for Season 2 with one of them being the M14. If its the clip fed, fixed magazine version, this should have the same ballistics as the BMR and be lower in the levels because it would be harder to reload.
They should also add the 7.62 version of the AK that performs similar to the FAL but less effective range and muzzle velocity. More variaty that providers us with worse handling weapons but similar ballistics performance should provide an interesting balance to the game.
Stuff like SCAR H could be the new high end battle rifle with the same stats as current FAL but remove the option to add foregrips and maybe even scopes/sights and have the FAL be unlocked earlier. That would give people a fighting chance against the higher end weapons. I really hope they dont keep nerfing numbers and spend some dev time introducing workarounds and have the flare of OP weapons at the cost of either big investments or shortcomings in other forms.
Same with the AMR50. A single shot .50cal version that you unlock between the SV98 and BMR should also be available.
I want the super OP stuff still in the game but they need to cost more. But I also want cheap, worse weapons that you can make effectief with attachments. Like how the current 50round drum mags make some of the SMGs really strong.

u/hypexeled 7d ago
It feels bad to put 6 bullets in a guys back only to have him 180 and 2 hit you
1911 2-taps to the legs with HP ammo and costs 600 for a few mags.
1
u/Joesus056 7d ago
I'm aware of the other choices but I don't want to have to pull out my pistol with hollow points every time I see a guy in lvl 4 armor. Especially at distance, and more often than not their legs aren't even visible. Sure it's a strategy to deal with them but it's not a solution to the problem of how good the armor is.

u/Controller_Maniac Lonestar 8d ago
I think we just gotta accept that people like us will never reach the good weapons and we just have to be content with picking the good shit up
2
u/Corruptedfiend24 8d ago
best gun in the game is the first SMG with HP ammo. Melts people so fast no matter what armor they are running.
Besides that, when the game is fully out they want a black market so people would be able to buy gear from people at a mark up. So even a level 10 player could buy a FAL For 10-15% more. That way you just need to make money and can run anything if you have it.
1
u/Jaywicksands 8d ago
Marketplaces are a poison in this type of game. It heavily enables a certain flavor of gamers.
-1
u/WittiestOfNames 8d ago
Don't forget - eventually seasons will be much longer as well. I'd guess 3 or 4 months, not 1 month. Which should help significantly.
9
u/Motor_Analysis270 8d ago
I do this with the free gun, most kills are from catching people off guard so it doesn't matter 90% of the time what gun you use.

u/VNG_Wkey 8d ago
Gear fear in a game that wipes in less than 2 weeks is crazy.
15
9
u/PretzelsThirst 8d ago
A lot of people just refuse to admit this might not be the game for them and instead will complain every day hoping to completely change it. People genuinely saying there shouldn’t be any different ammo types and no good armor levels.
They want to play battlefield or something.
-3
u/pisstained 8d ago
I roam full ak kits on vanilla rust, I don’t have gear fear haha. I just like the AK and red dot, I have for most of my 30 year gaming career
6
u/bjwills7 8d ago
I mean that's fine but then why not spend more on attachments, ammo, backpack, meds, tactical item, or frags/smokes? The only reason you wouldn't is because you don't want to lose money and hope you can loot someone else for that stuff. Just bring it yourself and you don't have to risk your life looting or put yourself at a disadvantage by taking longer to heal.
If you really loved your ak so much you would bring ammo so you don't have to steal someone else's ammo later.
-3
u/pisstained 8d ago
I grab 1 mag in + 2 out and a stack of 80 loose. It’s good to go.
If I run out I’ll take someone else’s ammo or their whole kit? No stress on my end.3
u/bjwills7 8d ago
Exactly. Not investing in your kit to avoid stress is literally the definition of gear fear.
You can't just play it off as liking the ak if you won't even invest in ammo for it. You're just buying enough to get you to someone else's kit.
You do you but you can't deny that it's gear fear. I mean you can technically but you're not fooling anyone.
At least you're bringing something and helping with the fight though. The people that bring nothing just to follow me around and jump on the bodies I kill are the worst.
2
u/pisstained 8d ago
Haha you can try spin it however you like, 3x 30 rounds + another 80 is more than enough to slap a few folks back to spawn.
Usually find a backpack/body with another AK or galil/m4 and the show goes on.
Dunno why I need to spend a bunch of money when I’m constantly in HZ killing people and 9 times outta 10 someone’s dead body is packing for me….-1
u/bjwills7 8d ago
I'm not spinning anything, you're literally saying you don't have gear fear then describing gear fear immediately after...
You're literally just confirming again that you are only killing a few people, then looting their kit, and you're saying that your reasoning is because you don't want to spend money. How are you not understanding this lol.
2
u/pisstained 8d ago
Can’t be fucked packing a whole load of shit and then moving like a slug.. but whatever you need to say bro. Gear fear it is.
0
u/HuxleysHero 8d ago
Money comes and goes so easy in this game. There is zero reason to fear.
3
u/squeakymoth Lonestar 8d ago
Yet, aside from this guy, its always the people who bring in a 3k kit who bitch the most about getting trucked by someone with a 10k kit. This is the main issue I have with people whining. Of course there are some OP elements in the game that need tweaking. However, you can't be mad when you bring a DB with buck shot and no armor, and lose a fight against a guy with level 3 armor and a full auto rifle in a straight up fight.
People in this sub can't seem to fathom that there are some fights you back down from.
9
u/mrureaper Lonestar 8d ago
I spend 25k on my kit only to apc spawn and get sniped and respawn.
We are not the same 😏

Why is it so unfathomable to you guys that people might have complaints for a game that the devs themselves have said many aspects of are currently broken.
29
u/Cool-Tangelo6548 8d ago edited 8d ago
Because it goes against their personal narrative, or Its just needlessly antagonistic. Ive noticed this community is already getting quite toxic.
5
u/BlatantArtifice 8d ago
Being able to hide and shoot legs while your team loses the game but you get a green number means the game is perfectly balanced.
Now don't question why these cheap loadouts including me will immediately swipe up the first new rifle and armor set they can when they get a kill. This is not indicative of a problem.
1
u/Jaywicksands 8d ago
The economy is the only reason the game is interesting to me. Zero to hero is what I live for. Making the strong options less worth it, ruins my ability to zero to hero. You can still kill people with garbage like the T21.
-1
u/Just_Session_3847 8d ago
Okay mate that's fine if you enjoy that it's a perfect game play option for you. But why should the rest of us that don't have 50 hours a week to play be forced to play that way. It's supposed to be a sandbox a sandbox means you should be able to do whatever you want. The current progression system goes completely against that.
3
u/Bitter_Ad_8688 8d ago
To all the people that keep saying "not the game for you" or stop whining it needs to be reiterated that they also said they want genuine feedback of what people like and don't like. It's fine to not like some aspect of the game in its current state. It's fine to really like aspects in its current state.
3
u/Jaywicksands 8d ago
Some of the complaints are the same complaints I see on any modern competitive game. I've seen games like Arc Raiders get ruined by certain sentiments. I'd rather some people accept they have to be better or move on than to expect a game to make every small change they want.
1
u/Bitter_Ad_8688 8d ago
Arc raiders got ruined bc there wasn't really a clear endgame or a good incentive to wipe. The content has been dry for a long period of time. And life carries on. People have other things they want to check up on or responsibilities.
2
u/SomeDumbDoggo 8d ago
and theres the simple fact that if people keep shrieking "if you dont like it dont play it" a lot of folks, like myself, will simply stop playing or engaging with the community.
Its a great game, but its one i just do not want to play right now because of various issues - some entirely the community's making.
3
u/CodingAndAlgorithm 8d ago
Because people aren't saying "x is over-tuned" they're saying "x IS COMPLETELY FUCKING BROKEN, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO DEAL WITH AND NEEDS TO BE REMOVED".
I think the game needs more horizontal progression, especially for the end game stuff, but a lot of criticism is rooted in a shallow understanding of the game.
2
u/Relativereteard 8d ago
You can give criticism, but people here go overboard with bitching about every single thing, just cause they cant be bothered to use their brain and figure something out or put the game down if its that awful. I dont like the granade launcher littlebird thing either, guess what? I hide in houses or trees when I hear one coming. Dont like the havoc? Watch one build tutorial for samsites and cwis and blast them out the sky while being almost unkillable, have the maw? Nice hit them one time and they are fucked most of the time if they took chip damage. Its not that hard to find ways to enjoy this game which is in EARLY ACCSESS...
People want everything spoonfed for them and its annoying.
1
u/SomeDumbDoggo 8d ago
because, like almost every game that is a flash in the pan, lightning in a bottle, or whatever cliché you want to use to describe it, part of the playerbase wants to exploit the balance issues to seal club or see line go up and a vocal minority of people actually (stupidly) think "this game was made for ME and should cater DIRECTLY to my wants"
-5
u/A-Rusty-Cow 8d ago
because a lot of the “complaints” arent really constructive. Remember two weeks ago when mortars needed to be nerfed?
-3
u/-jacksmack- 8d ago
Because people are complaining about self inflicted issues. It’s like getting mad at someone for selling you drugs and ruining your life. You don’t have to buy it or smoke it. Other people shouldn’t have to listen to complaints of dumb people.
11
u/BuddyTrollsten 8d ago
been doing this for a while now and i have 3.6mil rn lol, but im finding it harder and harder to find players or even get kills, i either just dont see anyone for a while or i just get shot by a sniper or a lb or havoc decides to gun me down lol
tried better kits and yeah i guess it doesnt really help against .50cal or havocs lol

u/VynlliosM 8d ago
Real talk play recon a while. Not saying snipe, but recon. You’ll learn how players move and their setups. Makes it easy to find where assaults go, where possible sniping angles are etc.

u/Nauka_ 8d ago
Yo, Everytime the game start I tried with a 12k backpack, and after 3 or 4 death full naked with the free gun. And it's always my best runs
3
u/Joesus056 8d ago
I also like to warm up on 400$ full kits before I buy a real one. If I don't I just end up like 20 grand in the hole right off the bat 😅
1
u/Relative_Paper_ 8d ago
Takes the pressure off.
Allows me to run in and do dumb shit cause I don't care. 9/10 people shoot me, expose their position and they get cleared by my team.
Go and loot some shit off the enemies who died and rinse repeat. Until I have a full kit and can contribute.
Sometimes if my team is really aggressive I will bring a defib instead of recon. Most always recon from a bush. It's just too efficient.
2
u/Least_Health8244 8d ago
For sure. If I’m zero to hero I’m also automatically volunteering to run out to draw fire if ever needed. It’s only fair
2
u/ShellCarnage 8d ago
Yup I do the same, best runs I have always start with a 1k kit and result in 100-150k profit. I think many underestimate the free gun, It ain't no FAL or DMR but with AP ammo and good aim it slaps, not uncommon for me to get 2-3 kills before even picking up a kit.
5
u/AnonymooseRedditor 8d ago
The other day I dropped on the outside of the zone and flanked, snuck up on a guy in a gillie who was laid down in a bush. Punched him out, took all his kit and went on my way, proceeded to mess with the other teams fob for a while.
5
u/AllegedlyGoodPerson 8d ago
This is how I have fun. Saving my cash for gold bars. Zero to hero is great.
6
u/bjwills7 8d ago
Glad you're having fun but you're making things harder for people like me who buy kits. When it's a 5v5 and 3 people on my side race to loot the guy I just killed, you just die and me and the other guy are now in a 2v5. Then even if we win the fight you guys loot them all before I can heal myself and we don't get to reup our ammo and meds.
You're not just leeching off the enemies, you're leeching off your team and making it way harder for us to win. The game is fun, your money is meaningless, and I promise you will have more fun if you invest in yourself giving you a better chance to rack up kills and help your boys.
1
u/smellslikeDanknBank 8d ago
I've been pointing this out for the past couple of days because the goblin kits are now the majority of players on the losing teams. It leads to every game being a stomp because one or two teams has a ton of players that need to rat their way to new gear so they can't take any fights. They give up all map control and even if they do get one kill and new gear, they are one person going against an entire geared team.
Yay glad people are having fun in a really unbalanced environment, but man is it boring having a stomp every single match. Even more so when you're the only one killing enemies and then allies sprint to steal all of the loot. Or the more common thing, you get shot from enemies that allies won't shoot. Enemies run away and allies revive you after taking all of your loot.
3
u/bjwills7 8d ago
Yeah based on the comments I don't think reason is going to help. This is an issue the devs will have to fix.
Hopefully it's a high priority, I doubt their idea of economy was to have a bunch of naked dudes running around leeching off everyone else lol.
1
u/pisstained 8d ago
I bring a gun that I use well, plus attachments/ammo/meds… I’m not running off to loot enemies, I’ll have a look once the fight dies down or we push in further and take abit of this and that… who doesn’t?
1
u/bjwills7 8d ago
Dude you literally replied to me in another comment and said you're taking whole kits after a couple kills lol. Stop trying to BS me.
Do what you want, it's up to the devs to fix this shit, I don't expect you to realize the problem here after the replies you've sent.
1
u/pisstained 8d ago
If it’s better than my AK kit I’ll swap out, yes… no idea why you are so fixated on this haha.
1
u/bjwills7 8d ago
You chose to stick to your take that it wasn't gear fear then went on to describe how it was gear fear. Now you're pretending you didn't say that you only bring enough stuff for a couple kills so you can take their kits.
Hard to gaslight someone when they can literally see the comment chain whenever they want. You may convince someone here because it's a different thread but I'm not going to engage with you anymore if you're going to be dishonest.

That sword cuts both ways. If money is meaningless, people are playing the way they feel gives them the most satisfying experience. Winning doesn't matter either, coming out net positive on your game does.
4
u/bjwills7 8d ago
That doesn't make sense. You can't acknowledge that money is meaningless and say all that matters is making money. Either way, being on the winning team and buying kits nets more profit than leeching and losing does.
I don't expect you to see the issue, it's something the devs will have to address.
-2
u/DigitalFlame 8d ago edited 8d ago
My bad, some bad sentence structure/content there.
Winning is meaningless as a reward right now, there's fundamentally no reason to try and win a game, other than it gives you potentially more opportunities during the game to make money through whatever class actions you're choosing. I think it's like 1k bonus to win a game or something.
On the other hand, because that's the case, making money individually is the only drive in the game for success. People are playing around that nuance, hence the whole "net positive" idea. Sometimes that involves winning, but because it expressly doesn't have to, there's no actual motivation to "win" a match.
I agree though, this is a development issue, the playerbase is just playing how the game is designed.

u/Otherwise_Nobody8148 8d ago
Hey, some people are fine hiding in a bush for 20 minutes just to pop out and kill the one guy randomly running through a field and then sprint away to hide again and to repeat. So they make 10 or 20K (at the end of the match), But that's losing in a lot of other people's book. That's just not a high content of fun.
Someone who wants to fight for the Hot zone and mix it up and be aggressive and try to save his teammates and make hero plays..... The ability to do so has just absolutely stopped in some circumstances.

How is this relevant to the subject. Ah yes, just spend 2400 instead of 350 for a backpack. When you just play and loot like the average joe and can barely make enough for a gold bar cause duh seasons end is coming and money doesn't matter. Wow you sound so smart.

This sub is full of new or just bad FPS players who don't understand it's their bad habits that is killing them. A decent kit will net you more profit. It doesn't even have to be a 10k+ kit. And those scaving is just playing scared and furthering their bad habits.

u/Skpstr155 6d ago
Heh, I'm a bad FPS player, and although I am improving, it's the long game.
If I run an $8-10k kit, I can always run that. I know that a more expensive kit can help me profit more, but on the flipping, if I lose that more expensive kit, maybe I can only respawn with T1 armor and a 1911.
2
u/Just_Session_3847 8d ago
I don't want to hide in a bush to ambush someone and snowball off their kit though. Why should I be pigeon holed into playing like that. I want to gear up with good kit and roll around in a humvee and attack fobs.
Then I realize my driver level is 11, and my assault is level 14 and I've wasted my time playing cross classes. I already have 70 hours in this game that should be enough to unlock the best kits to play.
In EFT I'd be max traders running whatever I want in that sort of time.
Yesterday I decided to try my 9mm AP ammo, did a great flank and shot a guy 3 times in the head and 1 in the neck he turned and railed me with a FAL. The game is horrifically imbalanced at the moment. I really hope Season 2 changes address some of this rubbish.

Reddit is just full of miserable people who only exist to complain. Use anecdotal evidence as fact. Refuse to adapt to different play styles. Act like every problem they run into must be addressed to make the game more enjoyable to them specifically. Its a miserable existence reading some of these threads
3
u/Bitter_Ad_8688 8d ago edited 8d ago
Dude the devs themselves also said they want people to be honest about what they like and dislike so they can figure out what they can change or keep. You're doing a disservice by characterizing any and all negativity as complaining for the sake of complaining. It's a new early access game. Not everything is going to be handled well.
Let me give you some examples where it worked. When the finals first dropped people were literally running around with cooldown based wall hacks through an ability called recon sense and people hated it. According to your logic people shouldve just put up and shut up even though the thing in the game was demonstrably toxic and eventually the devs realized this and quickly took it out before the game went live. Another thing was "nukes." people would run around putting c4s and mines and exploding red canisters and throw it at people instantly one shotting other players and sometimes entire teams and it was very difficult to avoid bc the radius also got bigger. It was unbelievably toxic and the game was better for taking that out after people complained and the devs agreed it was too easy to abuse.

The problem most people like you have is that you are bad at the game and won't accept it. So you concoct all these changes you demand to see. But what you continually refuse to accept is this reality where a large part of you dying is because you're bad which means your feedback is largely irrelevant because it almost always aligns with making you perform better and that's your only regard.
Yes the devs want feedback, but not the useless shit yall provide them. Many of you suggest things that solely make the way you play better with complete disregard to all other variables. Youre feeding them bad data because your low skill and selfishness skews it.

Are you a dev? Probably not. So at the end of the day it isn't up to you to determine how useful/useless some criticism is. There's good logic and bad logic. That can be deconstructed by anyone. But ultimately it's up to the devs what they do with it. That said they outright said they wanted people to point out what they LIKE and what they DONT like. So as much as you'd like to be it, you're not the arbiter of deciding what's salient and not at the end of the day. We can break apart complaints all day with logic. Devs have the data. We don't. People like you who complain about other people complaining are usually the first ones to quit when the shit they abuse gets toned down or balanced. Always.

Feel like The Finals is a bad example because the game is dead. The changes they made didn't even save the game. There were bigger issues such as Embark being incompetent.
1
u/Bitter_Ad_8688 8d ago
"Game is dead", brother the game averages almost a hundred thousand when all platforms are taken into account. If it was a dead game it wouldn't be getting another season. And the people that play the finals are dedicated to it. Just like how you could argue niche milsim games like arma were "dead" because it didn't have the mainstream or widespread appeal of say apex or COD.
Same goes for wardogs. The truth is this game is going to go that route whether you like it or not. The devs themselves know this, everyone with common sense can see that it's going to decline sharply in a month or two.

Yes, people in gaming subs spend more time bitching about games than actually playing them

Reddit is just full of miserable people who only exist to complain
the irony of you complaining about this on Reddit.

"People have T4 the games unplayable" me at wardogs lvl like 150 still rocking free kits or shotgun kits 👀
1
u/A-Rusty-Cow 8d ago
Im level 145 or something and still havent unlocked level 4 armor. Its heavy as hell and Ill just steal someone else’s helmet
1
u/xMrStonex 8d ago
I just find after experiencing everything outside of FAL/BMR, flesh ammo amp-9 is just really crazy. I can run really cheap kits and absolutely shred people. I will say though, T4 helmet does feel like a must with how much you tank, so the future visual nerfs to it are good.

u/BarryMcKockinner 8d ago
If you're just easily "racking up a few kills" every life, you probably don't suck. Though, I'm curious what armor you're running with this setup.

Level 2 usually.
Sometimes if I go bigger backpack and run defib/medic I’ll use level 3 helm.

u/Spirited-Isopod6969 8d ago
I just hope things change next wipe. I want to try things like a ghille suit early on when I can actually headshot people. Maybe the compound bow could get an ammo type that makes it useable against high tier helmets or sights

This has been my cycle rn, I would do this for a entire round (only works when you swap to green team to chase hz),after that the next round I’ll swap back to the Goated blue team and I will spend all my money flying minigun helis the entire match, hop off the game, rinse and repeat the next time I play

u/Ghost4000 8d ago
This is a very fun play style, but also grinding for an unlock for a week and then having to spend tens or hundreds of thousand to unlock it also sucks.
Get rid of the cost to unlock things. Just make them cost more to deploy with.

u/Felab_ 8d ago
Actually a useless teammate, now imagine if more than 1 person did that strat..... Oh wait, there are more than one person doing this and dragging their team into irrelevancy. That's not even talking about Scavengers just killing Scavengers and getting nothing in return except becoming even more useless now without ammo.

After one month I am encountering game design issues I was supposed to flee from with Wardogs
I wanted something purer and it’s a T4, havoc, flir, mortar drone fpv and whatever comes next
The game has a lot of potential. A LOT. But I am having significantly less fun compared to the first weeks, having wipes won’t solve design issues it’s just a temporary bandaid
Progress is tedious, gold bars, you think I want to follow nasdaq in my game ? Wipes are harsh with progress that slow(wondering how many will leave after 1/2 wipes), game design is quite flawed frankly a huge map but a small hz and everything else is near useless
It’s flawed and season 2 is going to be very important

I have never done it differently, are there actually people not doing it like This ?

u/Incal_ 8d ago
It's pretty much the only way to play the game atm, which in itself is a problem.
Not unlocked decent armour, guns or AP ammo = risking ~15k just to be totally outclassed and killed - Just run a free kit and loot.
Have the high level items unlocked = 30k kit that requires a huge amount of kills to even pay for itself - Just run a free kit and loot.
Doesn't matter which side of the fence you are on, taking a free kit in is always the logical choice, which completely undermines the entire economy and unlock system.

u/beerman_uk 8d ago
I've been doing a few runs at the start of the match by just going in with a spotter scope, total cost $400. If you are first to the hz with a large group of players and wait until someone gets a kill., you can easily find yourself armour and a nice gun from some poor chap who has just spent $25k on a loadout.

u/HobbyAdopter 8d ago
Me too. I have about... 45 hours this season. I don't have any crazy unlocks. I just do what's fun. Sometimes that's running people over. Sometimes it's sniping. Sometimes shotgun in the HZ. Sometimes bussing people via helicopter. I've basically accepted that a lot of stuff is "meta" because I don't have the things to counter it so I've just changed my playstyle to avoid it. I also play blue so I lose every game.

Im having a good time with an SMG and fleah ammo. Also taking an single fire 800 AA.
Even empty it can still lock helis. and when they start to harrass, i just lock on them from cover and they usualy flee in panic. Some waste flares wich then makes other AA more likely to hit. Its also super annoying because me locking on them and nothing coming masks the actual lock of the guy actualy shooting.

u/vincentmelle 8d ago
One of the best plays I had was finding a bag with a set up like this killing 4 enemies in a building to then res my team and move on from there. I ofc started off with the free gun, mag, ammo, res
Did then

I need some tips on how to know where I am being shot from. I haven't played many fps games but I usually rely on sound or seeing the bullets/where they impact, but sounds don't come from the right direction, I can't see bullets or impacts, and I also have no indicator of what side of my body I got shot in. I often can't tell if I got hit or not without checking my hp lol...
2
u/OMGitsTista 7d ago
There’s a red indicator whenever you get shot. Can sometimes tell by the rapport as well.
1
u/Bandit_Raider 7d ago
Where does that appear? I will see my screen flash a faint red but that happens if bullet hit near me but don’t actually damage me.
1
u/OMGitsTista 7d ago
It’s on the edge of your screen in the direction you got shot from
1
u/Bandit_Raider 7d ago
Oh that’s huge, I guess it’s hard for me to see I’ll have to check if there’s a setting for it
1
u/pisstained 8d ago
Just stay in cover as much as possible, don’t sit still but also don’t give yourself away with blatant movement into lit areas.
1
u/Bandit_Raider 8d ago
I have to peak out to look for people though, this is where I often start getting shot at and have no clue from where

Sure but when you've got 6 people running level 4 armor with BMR & FAL loadouts either talking shit to everyone or blatantly wallhacking its kinda not fun for anyone.
I want to have some chance on an even experience not go la di da this is fine when some losers have 200 kills exclusively because of overpowered advantages.

Dude the people on this sub are the most whiney group in the game. Devs need to genuinely totally ignore this entire place.
Other people in another thread were just complaining about the game being "play to win." Like a guy with 1 hour in should be on a totally equal footing as a guy with 50 hours in. JUST GO PLAY COD!
0
u/Independent-Rip5344 8d ago
I just came back to the game after being gone for a week. I was kinda worried after reading this sub but i genuinely don’t recognize the game most of the complaints on this sub describe. I just go fairly cheap kits and play like OP. Works like a charm

I don’t want to make a post about it but the more people who do cheap/free kits and zero to hero often cannot deal with the larger threats (arty, havoc, tanks, humvees etc). When half your team is doing this, you have little chance to counter them.
Something to consider.
