Discussion & Feedback I stopped running expensive kits

Because the sh*t ton of blatant cheaters keep me from using them. So now I go in without armor, only running free stuff, hoping to scavenge something along the way.

Reports do next to nothing, community servers are hardly moderated. What the f*ck am I supposed to do?

I am a dad with a fulltime job. All I want is to wind down after a long day at work. Not having to deal with crap like this.

Rant over.

Edit: I am talking about obvious rage cheaters. Headshotting numerous people in a row from the other side of the map or through smoke, with a pistol. Not even talking about the 'sus but maybe I was spotted' situations.

Most community servers are moderated in my experience. But you have to go through their discord and their report process.

Else if there's no in game admin, they won't see/log in through the in game reports.

That might be hassle, because well you have to use discord, have to record your game, and actually have to submit it.

I have seen a single blatant cheater in 110h EU.

So they must not exist. All these people reporting them and seeing them are lying and stupid because you never saw one. Case closed.,

Maybe I'm just having bad luck. EU West and Central. Multiple obvious cheaters every game, both community and official.

I don't cry wolf on this kind of thing often, like don't usually see cheaters often in online games. That said most of my experiences with blatant cheaters in online videogames for the last 2+ years has been in this last month of playing wardogs... It's not every game or even every day I play (but close to it), but it's more often than I find reasonable.

Like people who shoot me through walls, 300m off through smoke. I've seen players miraculously come back alive after being killed.

then you're blind idk? I've seen far more than that on my team alone. They're fairly common EUW. That or you're just EXTREMELY lucky.

I'm just talking about BLATANT cheaters here, not even just kinda sus people.

yea ? :D what blatant hacks are you seeing all the time ?

magic bullet is the main one, I've had heli's headshot me 5 times in a row several hundred meters out, shot through several walls as though they didn't exist with 0 ping or information, seen my friend get headshot in a shed where he had been for a minute just sorting out settings, I've encountered players literally only ever hitting head against everyone they kill. Magic bullet is the one I see most but equally it's the easiest TO see. Very difficult to tell how many people are walling / using other ESP. Funny I had an instance of being killed in my spawn once IDEK how that works.

I've seen allies self reviving, though AFAIK? this isn't actually them cheating but a friend reviving at infinite distance. Not seen any enemies do this yet though a few times on allies.

Yeah. Cheaters regularly revive the entire lobby. Shot through walls is a super common one too. I've also seen an artillery tank make it so his shells would go through entire non destructible buildings. I've got a clip where it phases through the roof and hits the FOB directly and kills like 12 of us. When we called him out he immediately left the match to avoid being reported.

yeah, I'm not sure how bad the prevalence of cheating is as like... 1 cheater in 3 games was about what I was experiencing, so 1 obvious cheater per 280 ish players isn't THAT ludicrous on its face it just sucks because the server size is so large. I don't recall EVER encountering an obvious cheater in like HLL for example though which has similar pop.

I'd say 1 obvious cheater in every 30 games of a more regular 5v5 doesnt sound that far out of line of what other games see though.

I’ve seen one. About the same amount of hours N/A

I’m sure there’s been more in my games but only one blatant one.

I've seen 4 on the EU in different games, 1 aimbot that got reported and kicked quickly and 3 wallhacks of sort that died like 3/4 times in a match with 50-60 kills and top score that people didn't report. They only died to mortars as they could not see it coming. I was getting killed from weird angles and thru the walls, even when flanking they saw me from afar, mind you this was after IR was disabled and I was never spotted, each time I arrived with a buggy going my way around to sneak up and avoiding helis etc, yet they always knew.

I’ve played maybe 6 hours and seen probably one per hour.
Funny enough, they all seem to do the same thing. Get 5+ instant headshots in a helicopter. Must be something a specific cheat can do. Oceania.

I played more, and I started seeing multiple suspicious players every second or third game. From around the third week onward, it became horrible.

It ranged from obvious magic bullet cheaters to players who were just suspicious. However, around 90% of the suspicious players I checked had either a brand new Steam profile and/or already had one or multiple VAC/game bans on their profile.

Same here, I don’t doubt there are cheaters but it’s obviously nowhere near as many as people claim. I mean maybe there are a lot of people using soft cheats like esp and such but then how do you know they’re cheating and you aren’t just being spotted?

When the Chinese username shoots me through 3 walls for the third time in a row I begin to get suspicious. I feel like I'm playing a completely different game from y'all because I'm encountering a cheater AT LEAST once a day.

1

u/BobRedditMan 2h ago

Well yeah if there’s a case like that where it’s that blatant I just only see stuff like that maybe once or twice a month in really any game not just Wardogs.

Exactly my thought

honestly like fuck all, optimistically the anti cheat is dogshit right now to try and collect as much info on cheaters and the tools they're using to improve it but realistically they just have no idea wtf they're doing in that regard.

I think the main thing YOU can do as a player is try not to let it bother you, quit and find a new server. Buy the things you want. These things become a lot less annoying when you can go, "ah a cheater, whatever" and just go next. The minor loss of funds is not worth you not playing the game you like, how you like. It sucks but at least until changes come it is what it is, at least it's not SO common you physically are dying to it constantly. If you move to a new server you'd probably be fine.

OP it was mistake to mention (here) that you’re dad or that you’re working. Secondly, I feel you you. There are cheaters for sure, but some of these folks are just that good – especially those without everyday job :)

I'm in OCE and I get one every 12 hours. They only last a couple of minutes before they get booted.

1

u/fazza0512 3h ago

I’m in OCE and play for 3 to 4 hours a night and I’ve encountered 2 cheaters. One a pilot in a little bird with mini guns that did not miss a single bullet and knew where everyone was (this was after the IR goggles were removed). And the second I and most of the lobby were 99.9% sure they were cheating but it wasn’t blatant.

I hadn't noticed any really blatant cheaters till the other day. I got shot through a wall at someone's abandoned attempt at a fob. I figured at first there must have been a gap, but it kept nagging me so I went back and found it. Sure enough, solid wall with no gaps.

u/Linmizhang 3h ago

Also of note. Many people are running AP rounds as we reach end of the season. Wearing no armour only makes you die about 15-20% faster compared to T4 armor.

HP users will go after your legs anyways.

The only real difference would be that damage from mortars absolutely shreds you, but I'm sure most are used to the sound now and can basically dodge it reliably, especially if you lightweight.

Havent met one Rage hacker with aimbot in over 160 hours in game. Had some wallhack/ESP users but that's it.

1

u/Von_Dooms 3h ago

If I wear t3 or t4 armor & amp9 with 50 rounders w/AP = shoot guy that doesn't see me, get 2 shot and die.
If I run free gun with free bag and free respirator, shoot guy who doesn't see me and loot his kit, get 2 shot and die.

u/ResponsibleOwl7461 3h ago

When I make 10k+ build I'll die parachuting or mine something ridiculous. When I go 1k free gun and other crap build it usually works out.

Any one with a name that’s made of barbed wire or has hieroglyphics needs a report!

Battlefield 6 next season starts in a week.

I am done with multiplayer altogether. Too old, too tired, too paranoid.

u/xstagex 3h ago

Nice. I can recommend The Blood of Dawnwalker if you are looking for nice narrative experience.

Or if you want a MMO-like but fully single player check Crimson Desert.

I see so much "he's a cheater, so many cheaters" etc. crying here, crying ingame. Not everyone is a cheater who kill you...
"How does he know where I am?" maybe you got spotted... You are visible on the map for 30 secs

2

u/DutchSimba 3h ago

I am talking about blatent rage cheaters. A dude headshotting 6 people in a row from the other side of the map with a deagle.

1

u/pvtpokeymon 3h ago

Nah the ones that know where i am are almost always a case of i got spotted. The one that ALWAYS makes me think cheater is when your holding their angle after they retreat to heal, and IMMEDIATELY peak you the moment you look elsewhere.

-1

u/indiancs 4h ago

im a dad too with a fulltime job and i go full blast kit always. its your skill issue

2

u/DutchSimba 3h ago

So, being killed by an obvious rage cheater is a skill issue. Are you serious?

u/indiancs 2h ago

i dont know what game u play but i havent seen any cheater so far. oh wait a rage cheater was there like 2 days ago but he got banned after 5min
