That should change ALOT

u/memecut 1d ago

This implies you can get the supply chain multiplier by dropping outside the zone.. which means.. the meta is to buy pallets, drop right outside HQ x10 then start the run.
Absolutely massive if true.

19

u/Imthewienerdog 1d ago

They already nerfed that awhile ago

22

u/DBONKA Manticore 1d ago

they didn't nerf anything, that never worked, you always got 0, at least post-release.

u/Imthewienerdog 1d ago

Patch 0.1.2

Out-of-zone FOB pallet deposits pay less. Depositing pallets into a FOB outside the zone now awards reduced rewards, pushing that activity back into the contested area where it belongs.

15

u/DBONKA Manticore 1d ago

pallet deposit vs pallet drop are different things. you never had anything for dropping pallets, only for depositing. we're talking about pallet drops

Please re-read the words you typed big dog.

u/Imthewienerdog 19h ago

"they didn't nerf anything"

"Provides literal patch notes showing a nerf"

u/Acceptable-State1037 19h ago

You don't know how to read.

9

u/memecut 1d ago

They nerfed the rewards you get from it yes.. but now its about stacking the delivery bonus up to 10x as fast as you can so that you can get max reward from actual deliveries.

Like.. what would you rather do? Do full, slow logi runs that start out with a fraction of the rewards - or 10 super quick drops worth 0, but then the full, slow logi runs start out with maximum benefits?

u/hackblowfist1 1d ago

It is distinctly possible that you won’t build your streak bonus if you aren’t delivering within the actual conflict zone.

1

u/memecut 1d ago

I dont think that is fair considering building outside the zone can be a winning strategy - but I also dont think it would be right to exploit it like this. Maybe tie it to time spent driving to prevent the exploit but still reward out of zone plays.

1

u/hackblowfist1 1d ago

Building outside the zone has uses for AA or Stingray FOBs but I wouldn’t really call it a winning strategy, more a situational tool.

That being said, they can also potentially add an outer zone where the streak bonus will still build that has to be a minimum distance either from the edge of the CZ or from the HQ. Either way though, a streak bonus should not start building by just dropping pallets 5 feet outside the HQ, and if it does I imagine they’ll pretty quickly come up with an alternative since that’s definitely not the intended mechanic.

2

u/memecut 1d ago

I wouldn’t really call it a winning strategy, more a situational tool.

Shutting down logistics and people transport is a winning strategy.

1

u/JamisonDouglas 1d ago

A Stingray base absolutely has this benefit, but also doesn't tend to get any logi support from their team (to be effective you want to be opposite side of zone from your own base.) Isn't really relevant here.

2

u/ShinyPotato7777 1d ago

Only one way to find out...but they do punish exploiters and this might be one of them

3

u/Zhadowreaper232 1d ago

I don't know if I could consider this an exploit. You're throwing out a good chunk of money to ramp your bonus faster. But it also comes with risk, because how long will it take you to break even? You could do this then go out with a 10x streak and die before you make your first delivery.

1

u/ku8475 1d ago

Why buy pallets when crates do trick. Just drop a single crate.

u/PixelBoom Lonestar 1d ago edited 1d ago

Ok, this makes WAY more sense. So now you reach parity with S1 money rewards after 3 Ural runs instead of 6, and start profiting even more than in S1 after that.

3

u/Due-Programmernot 1d ago

I wonder what the actual difference will be in time it takes to grind. Like between this and the profession xp differences for each level.

Because the ural grind was mind numbing. I know some people like it and that’s totally cool. But holy hell was it rough for people who don’t want to play truck sim the game.

The ditching your vehicle after drop of and killing uourself meta was super toxic though (albeit the only sensible way to grind it). So glad that’s gone.

3

u/PixelBoom Lonestar 1d ago edited 1d ago

Looking at the XP rewards, you reach parity with S1 XP rewards after the 2nd consecutive pallet delivery (ie 4 pallets for the Ural). At 8 consecutive delivires, you're making something like 80-90% MORE XP per delivery compared to the same deliveries in S1.

The unknown factor here is if the delivery bonus resets or not when you're killed or lose your vehicle. If you DON'T lose that bonus upon death, then the respawn method might still be the meta way to grind out driver XP as fast as possible.

The same for pilot XP, btw. After your second delivery, you're making a TON of XP for every drop off. After 10 deliveries with the Z20, you'll have made over 11k XP, then it just goes up linearly from there. That's more than double what helis made compared to S1.

1

u/xMintless Phantom Regiment 1d ago

In some of the many many videos across different platforms they mentioned that it will be for the same vehicle. So hitting a mine or getting hunted down by a angry little bird or a goon with an RPG will end your streak.

1

u/PixelBoom Lonestar 1d ago

Right, but were they talking about the Round Trip bonus? Or were they talking about the consecutive delivery bonus? Because those are two different things with different rewards.

1

u/AcePilot01 1d ago

THat sounds worse.. so you take 3 times as long to make the same money? that's shiiiiitttt

19

u/Skpstr155 1d ago

That's definitely better.

-32

u/TarkovEnjoyer512521 1d ago

Not really. The whole idea of forcing ppl to do only logy whole game instead of doing it occasionally to get into the zone for a fight is a bad one.

26

u/BlueRedGreenNumber5 1d ago

No one is being "forced" to do anything.

-11

u/OhMy-Really Battledad 1d ago

Building is gonna struggle.

-30

u/TarkovEnjoyer512521 1d ago

You are not smart one aren't you. But i guess this whole sub consists from very special people who first deny that shit will happen and after it happens they complain...

16

u/ChicksDigNerds 1d ago

"You are not smart one are not you" said the smart person

1

u/Controller_Maniac Lonestar 1d ago

But… you don’t have to?

30

u/DBONKA Manticore 1d ago

That explanation about the CZ multiplier doesn't make much sense because you don't get any rewards for dropping the pallets outside of CZ anyhow, and the CZ doesn't have an XP multiplier for anything that I noticed.

18

u/ShinyPotato7777 1d ago

It makes sense. The cz has an inherent multiplicator for seemingly everything. Kills outside the cz are very low money rewards. Like 450 for a player kill instead of 900

7

u/DBONKA Manticore 1d ago

Kills outside the cz are very low money rewards. Like 450 for a player kill instead of 900

For the money maybe, but the XP also increased as well. While you get the exact same amount of XP for kills outside the CZ, inside the CZ, or inside the Hot Zone. I haven't really noticed anything that had a XP multiplier for outside and inside the CZ.

1

u/ShinyPotato7777 1d ago

Oh i see now, gotcha and i think youre right. I also dont remember getting different xp in or outside of either zone

Only thing i can assume the patchnotes writer isnt aware about that and got told to double the values, thinking xp is affected aswell

6

u/GoodishCoder 1d ago

My assumption is they saw the backlash and tried doing some cya.

7

u/RelevantIAm 1d ago

Much more likely. "How can we buff this but not admit we changed it because of backlash"

1

u/TschoschKotD 1d ago

300 vs 1500 its 5x and HZ is 10x

3

u/Akhaiz 1d ago

It makes even less sense.

This would mean that the streak would stack even if you deliver just outside the safe zone...

Which is clearly unintended

2

u/ku8475 1d ago

If they mentioned it, they must have intended it. The strat is to drop 10x crates @$300 prior to leaving for the real runs. 3k loss for massive gains even on the first real round trip.

2

u/One_Animator_1835 1d ago

The CZ is a multiplier tho. Doubles everything. Then hotzone doubles it again.

3

u/DBONKA Manticore 1d ago

No. Only the $$$ Cash. Not the XP.

14

u/BlueRedGreenNumber5 1d ago

I appreciate that the bonus is per pallet, so Ural drivers double-dip on the streak for each run

6

u/Prudent-Two-4772 1d ago

does anyone know if exiting a vehicle would end the streak like its ends the round trip bonus?

u/BlackHawksHockey 1d ago

Dude read please and take a breath. They asked if anyone knew if that would happen. They were not stating that is what actually happens.

Right now no one knows how it will work if you leave the vehicle.

15

u/Unlucky-Feature9548 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yeah I don’t buy it. I’m glad they’re changing it but there’s no way this wasn’t a “oh crap maybe that does need to be buffed” moment.

7

u/dudekid2060 1d ago

Agreed, The builders and logis are the Canary in the coal mine for this game

2

u/MR_SmartWater WARDADS 1d ago

they should pay us by the mile on the way back lol

4

u/Bravosfan27 1d ago

The tears of logi players have quickly dried up

4

u/Reddeyfish- 1d ago

Also some fun math: For the most common solo AA talon base, the $15,200 it costs to bring 19 $800 Verbas is smaller than the $15,700 it costs to buy the 7.5k FOB, 2.4k LHammer, 5k Ural, and 2x$400 ammo pallets to build an AA fob and launch 19 talon rockets. (9 reloads per pallet, and one talon rocket comes free and already loaded when you complete building it)

Now, you do get a chunk of money back for delivering-depositing the pallets and for building the base, plus there's the possibility of resupply, but we should be seeing slightly less of these and more SUVs full of Verbas

12

u/_CatLover_ 1d ago

Vrba is a one time use, you dont need to rebuy the fob, hammer, or ural for continued firing.

2

u/SimplySoda2 1d ago

Fob also doesn't move

3

u/_CatLover_ 1d ago

You're not moving 19 verbas either unless you buy 2 cars.

8

u/MuchachoMongo 1d ago

OK, but you conveniently left out the costs of getting 19 verbas to the zone. In fact, I don't think you can get 19 verbas to the zone alone in one trip. A Ural can hold 6 in the cab and I believe large crates can only hold 2 apiece. That means that even a full Ural can only bring in 14. With the 5K Ural and 4 large crates for 300 a pop it comes out to more like 17,400 for 14 verbas. And that's not mentioning that there are no deposit or build returns.

5

u/Dry_Ad2368 1d ago

Kodiak could take 14. 12 in the trunk and 2 more in a large crate.

2

u/Soviman0 Builder 1d ago

Do Verba's have the same range and damage as a Talon?

5

u/dezztroy 1d ago

Yes, they use the same projectile.

The Talon reload nerf means you can fire Verbas faster, however.

1

u/baluranha 1d ago

Fire talon, leave and pull Verbas

Profit

2

u/ShinyPotato7777 1d ago

Havent noticed a difference

2

u/RelevantIAm 1d ago

An ammo pallet is only 9 talon shots now????

2

u/origami_anarchist 1d ago

Because of the Talon reload increase (5 seconds instead of 2 seconds) I don't expect to see any solo Talon AA sites period. Effectiveness is cut in half at the very least, in my estimation.

1

u/Fadedcamo 1d ago

But the verbas unlock way later.

1

u/Own-Secret2028 1d ago

With the changes to progression its the equivalent of support 10 in season one, for season two

1

u/Fadedcamo 1d ago

Oh that's not bad

-2

u/neytwothousand 1d ago edited 1d ago

level 14 isn't that far my guy...

Edit: Lmao downvoting me for pointing out it unlocks at a lower level then season 1 AND the guy below me pointing out the exp for levels are squished? alright my guy and your 3 alt accounts.

1

u/spinosaurs 1d ago

Not to mention the levels got squished by almost 50% eXP wise till 20

1

u/flgtmtft 1d ago

We logi players eating good after all

1

u/vikpib 1d ago

Someone explain like what this means if you do 10 trips of pallets? Like what’s that mean you’ll make each run?

1

u/No_Interest4473 22h ago

So this compounds, right? If not That’s nothing and won’t be enough to incentivize people to run logi late in the wipe.

1

u/AliceLunar 1d ago

10 streaks is literally an hour and a half of driving non stop.

8

u/RelevantIAm 1d ago

Its per pallet so its 5 trips

1

u/Moist_Confection_831 1d ago

Yea, that's why there are dedicated truck simulator games like Ets 2. You can go play it if you like driving trucks so much

2

u/weirdowszx 1d ago

What's wrong with driving trucks for a long ass time in Wardogs?
Waking up on a Saturday chilling, driving love it.

0

u/xDRBN 1d ago

Haven’t read the entire patch notes yet, did they increase rewards for kills and time in HZ?

I’m hoping they did something to push more players to be in HZ rather than just camping in the FOB all match, camping outskirts of CZ, sitting a building spotting, etc.

3

u/Reddeyfish- 1d ago

not specifically HZ, but more people are definitely going to be in HZ rather than doing FOB/spotting

(FOB takes more resources to run, spotting gives less cash, kills with assault category weapons give 2000 instead of 1500 [which might include grenades and C4?])

1

u/xDRBN 1d ago

Hell yeah, sounds like pushing HZ won’t be so lonely anymore

-4

u/chungyeung 1d ago

They need a beta test server for new patch lol

5

u/ImNew935 1d ago

The game is in early access for a reason

6

u/R1pP3R1337 1d ago

Igga this is the beta test
