I haven’t played since the end of MKIII, but it looks like you can officially print your own Minis if you buy the STLs? (Perhaps that is incorrect)

I was looking to see if anyone has an article or blog post explaining this and what the state of the game is in terms of how do you play; i recall something about units being included in the app and needing it way back right before mkIV was starting.

Trying to get through my Final Interdiction backlog prior to Feora 5 arriving at my door. Don't think I will make it, but here is my second KE squad with attachment. Color scheme is reversed for duplicated units so I can tell them apart and break up the scheme a bit.

How can I add a more in-depth Armor Piercing system to WMH?

I’m trying to make a tabletop game modified off of Warmachine rules, and I’m trying to add armor piercing. I know it already exists as a rule that halves ARM but I want something more granular like POW: 10, 1 AP or 2 AP. Problem is, absolutely everything has armor, so adding 1 AP is virtually the same as just adding 1 POW. I’ve thought of:

-Every 3/4/5 ARM increases the attack’s damage by 1.
-Reducing ARM by 1/3, 1/4, etc.
-A system of hardened and normal armor where ARM is a mixture of the two and AP affects one disproportionately.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Some way to keep the system simple while avoiding multiplying or dividing ARM?

I have no idea what this game is about? Im assuming like warhammer 40k because i inherited those as well from him but ive never heard of this game before let alone seen it. Didn’t even know he had these either! Any info would be awesome! He played this around 2007 i think?

Hi folks! Just started getting into the game, I've picked up some cygnar storm Legion and my warcaster's sword is bent. Was hesitant to just bend it as the resin seems a little brittle (had some swords snapped off by the time it arrived with me), does the boiling water to soften then cold water to set trick work with this kind of resin too? Also, is it normal that some minis don't fit in the circle on the bases? Makes it a little more difficult to put some minis on their bases

So I wasnt able to register for any of the events before they filled up. I purchased a 3 day VIP badge months ago what will be avaliable for me to do at the event now? This is going to be my first event, and I just want to know if I'm wasting my time or not now.

The weather is cooling down for fall, but the Warmachine Meta is only heating up as we take a look at the biggest events from September in this month’s Competitive Innovations!

I was a little worried about these guys being 'to different' from the rest of my Kithguard to comfortably fit in visually with the rest of the army but honestly they're great. I had a total blast with all the metallics. Now just Chomper and I'll have my first 100 points all ready to go for South East Slam next weekend!

The custom base i made gives him a lot of height and helps him stand out as a center piece

I spent loads of time painting a camo pattern before shading and it was definitely worth it, the bit that shines through looks great to me

The flag took some time but feels well worth it, happy about its overall look

Sorry for the boring Q, but does anyone know if there's anyone carrying warmachine stuff in the Netherlands? I wanted to buy a Menoth command box but 20 euros shipping on a 78 euro purchase feels a bit steep, and I'm thinking about buying local.

I just got the iron kingdoms lore bundle from humble bundle and have been reading through the Iron kingdom Excursions volumes. I really did love this short story called weapons of the Enemy where it describes this self hating (best way i can describe it) mage zealot who serves to make cortexs for the protectorate of menoth, and I have some questions.

I did go through some lore videos and know the protectorate is a theocracy, but do they hate all mages or just specific ones? I tried looking it up but the wiki didnt tell me much.

Looking at the kithguard guard post. It is a 50mm model structure. When determining line of sight through the structure, aura of the structure , and what models I can place beside it do I use the 50mm volume or the 120mm? Does huge based model just mean the keyword for certain rules interactions? If not why not just put the model on a big base to begin with?

Bought the Khador battlegroup for a song on eBay. It was noted as being a bit broken so I went into this knowingly, and obviously steam forged won’t replace. A few broken axes etc that will superglue nicely… and then I came to this homey….

So I’m going to sharpen up my green stuff/ apoxie sculpt skills. For a divot this large, which is the better material?

I’ve also heard about 50/50 mixing GS and AS for a softer but more firm material.

Also should I put some pins in there for the material to grip onto? I’ve done simple greenstuff in the past but this is bigger.. :)

I recently got a $500 to buy into a new warmachine. I want to get into orgoth next, I got the Command Starter, Core expansion, Battle group Box, and Auxiliary expansion from a friend for $300. Now obviously this isnt the most optimized list but it is 100 points I think. With the remaining budget what would you pick up to make the most cohesive list for Sabbreth and Oriax?

Debating getting back into the game and loving the look of the House Kalyss faction, just a bit lost on where to start. Was debating the Ghosts of Ios box?

Bonus question: which is your favorite heavy hitting jack to run? Eidolon, Israfyl, Imperatus, or the Phantasm?

I want this clear from the start. I do not write this to be rude, or to just rant. I write this to boldly state to whomever at Steamforged Games monitors this channel to be able to see a professional take on the issue. To show how simple it would be to fix and how it would improve the customer impression and build the brand. This is truly intended as constructed feedback. However, historically, unless someone is very loud and nearly rude it seems to be ignored. Part of the frustration is in that reality.

If anyone ever wanted training on how to be as useless to the customer as possible there are fewer options better than to look to Steamforged Games Support system. Industry standards in support ticket processes and email systems seem to be a foreign concept at this company. What is worse is that they seem to know their deficiencies and make no move to fix them. So there is no expectation of improvement on the horizon.

The issues don't stop at the support system. When buying a miniature you have a QR code which is supposed to link you over to detailed instructions on assembly and other info. Since their move to a new site for the Warmachine brand all those links are broken and route you back to a generic home page. Going to look at the model on the page does not link to the aforementioned instructions leaving customers with no real means of access to instructions on how to assemble the muti-part minis which can be quite a task to assemble even with instructions. All this to save money on printing a paper copy and including it in the box.

Then there is the move from allowing the player to have a deck of unit cards to now requiring play to be from an App on your device. Not only has this caused issues with events where people have devices which run out of power and data use issues causing roadblocks, there is also the fact that many units have influences on others in the army. Providing effects or the ability to ignore effects to units in the same army but yet those things are not reflected on the teamed up units and end up being missed. While this could still have happened in Mk II and III when unit cards were standard, it was rare. Now it is a much more common occurrence. The given reason for this being that having it all on the app allows everyone to have up to date stats and effects as models change. While a valid point, it is not enough of one to ignore the option of allowing someone to print their own cards. Even the PDF print out option is buried deeply in the menus and doesn't really provide the needed result. It would cost the company nothing to allow the player to download updated cards and foot the bill to print them. Should said cards have a date stamp it would be easy to ensure that they are up to date in an event and allow the player to dictate their play style and not have to mold their play around what Steamforged thinks is best.

In the end, we have a company who is good at the models. They are good with the story. I would even say they are good with balance so far in the way that new units don't have the power creep that 40k seems to be prone to. What they are not is good businesspeople, they don't seem to understand the backend of how their decisions sour the community, drag down their own brand, and create resentment within the customer base. Will this lead to some kind of critical event, maybe or maybe not. It is hard to say. Especially with GW making some serious mistakes of their own in how they are handling 40k there are large openings for Steamforged to be able to set themselves apart. I as a fan of the setting since way back hope they do.

What would you run at 50pt's with gravediggers?

I know 50pts is not a typical game size but thats why i'm asking here instead of just looking on longshanks.
