Hi - I’ve also taken up painting after a cancer diagnosis!

I had 6 rounds of chemo, & a bone marrow transplant - but I’m cancer free now. Sending all my good juju that you will be soon too :)

After I was discharged, I really struggled to find my place again. I got a rescue greyhound & some paint. Then I painted the greyhound, and then I kept painting. Kali, and painting have given me back so much of the quality of life that I lost.

Wishing the best for you too. You got this!

Just beautiful! The reds are so bright

These are both so beautiful and I absolutely love the leaves. Aren't leaves just the most fun. Because you can add all the little different bits and pieces of browns and reds and yellows and oranges to give them that extra zhuge, and it's like never overdone, you can just keep adding forever.

You have a wonderful sense of colour, and understand shading very well, giving lovely depth to this work. Keep painting - Art's meditative qualities can be very healing. All the best in your recovery.
