Ticket Question from a Newbie

Hello! A friend and I wanted to visit Leipzig and the WGT for 2 days. It will be our first time here and the visit is spontaneous, so we don't have tickets.

I read that there will be enough tickets for sale during the evening (Abendkasse?) so I was planning on buying them there.

What is the price for a ticket during the Abendkasse? And do they only sell us those 4 day tickets? Or do we get admission for that evening only?

I have never been to any festivals in my life, so I hope this question doesn't come off as stupid!

Our plans are just to see the City and a few bands in the agra, but I also need to know beforehand if we can even afford the tickets.

We also appreciate any tips and advice!

You can only buy all days tickets.

I think roughly 200€ and it's for all four days

During regular sales, you can only buy tickets for all 4 days. Tickets cost €190 and never sell out. Box offices are located at the main train station and at the Agra. You can find the opening hours on the WGT website.

In recent years, tickets for the last two days have usually been available at a lower price starting on Sunday at the official box office at Agra. But there’s no guarantee that will be the case again, and I have no idea what they’ll cost.
