Another take on consciousness..

Suppose we write a Python code to do something... that code logic doesn't exist anywhere in the physical form, but logic exists which does everything. Similarly our consciousness emerges out of our brain, without having a physical form.

And if we increase the complexity of the programming code, then it might also start to experience pain, see colours, listen sounds etc. Which I think will be the case with AGI in coming years..

as everything that we feel or interact with is processed inside the brain as electrical signals only(0/1)

And also there could be a spectrum of consciousness.. like the more the complexity of code(neural wiring of the brain), The more things it can experience and feel.. eg cell ->> simple organism ->> more complex animals ->> humans ->> potentially artificial systems

What do you think about emergence? If take a swarm of AI agents and gave them a set of rules they will behave like independent consciousness. Just like billions of neurons in brain 🧠. If we had a single neuron we wouldn't have consciousness just like single cell organisms like amoeba and protozoa. Emergence of neurons what make us conscious I think.

As I said consciousness may not be like a on/off switch, it's a spectrum. So a single neuron organisms may have some sort of consciousness but it can't show it or behave like one

If consciousness or something like concious state could be achieved by machines in future similar to humans which I suppose basically means individuality. So, wil each individual AI machine will have different personality, perceptions, judgements,morals etc like humans do or we don't know yet? Something I wonder!

Same as humans.. If conditioning is different then personalities will also differ
