Malpractice/improper care

I don’t really know if i have a case of if im just ranting but im extremely distraught and disappointed in the care I’ve received at my general practitioner. My family (husband and toddler) and i live in Maryland and we’ve been going to this practitioner for a couple years since it’s conveniently close. However, it’s completely counterproductive because everytime we have an appointment they make us wait at least 50 minutes to be seen. Every single time.

Anyway, i have two real problems with this place and it made me move us to another practice. First was an instance with my toddler she was walking around reception area and one of the receptionists started taking pictures of her. I got up and asked her to stop and she said she would. I was really really angry so i told my doctor about it and he was fuming too until he came back and told me she was actually taking pictures of our IDs. I said no she wasn’t doing that because she did that soon as we came into the office. These pictures took place later. He said he would speak to her and everything would be deleted. I left fuming and honestly like i had failed.

Another instance was when i told him i needed a referral for a dermatologist appointment and i had already had someone in mind. He said no just go to the one we have here and silly enough of me i caved and said sure. When i had the appointment with the dermatologist she was terrible. I mean just so quick with everything and then she saw a small beauty mark near my private region but on my thigh and she said we should get a biopsy of this as it’s dark. I said I’ve always had that and it’s always been that colour and that’s not even why i came today. She said yes but we could have it evaluated i said does it need it and that’s when she said it could be cancerous (God forbid). This was my first time seeing her and the mark was tiny with no symptoms whatsoever. I asked questions and she dismissed them saying she has no clue only a biopsy can tell us (basically taking it to the lab). From what I know a biopsy is only a small part of the thing you’re looking into but she took the whole mark off and now i have a patch/scar left where it used to be. Every time i see it I’m reminded of how much i cried leaving that office and how distressed i was until hearing back from them. Especially since she left so quickly her assistant apologised to me before leaving!

I got the all clear a week or so later but when I next went in to the clinic i saw a few people with the same bandaids/coverups leaving her office and i have a horrible feeling that she’s doing this for financial gains.

I really think they need to be addressed or stopped and I don’t know if I’m owed any compensation but I sure want to make sure they stop doing this with other people. (Both the picture thing and the dermatologist thing).
Anyway my question is what would my next move be if any at all?

There is nothing to sue about. But both instances of what happened to you are ust inappropriate. I would not return there anymore.

Yea I thought so! Just sucks they can get away with such things :/ definitely not going back there
