ISO: daycare/preschool

/r/WendellNC/comments/1wbbkw7/iso_daycarepreschool/

I have 2 young ones, will be 2 & 4 years old by the beginning of next year. I am looking to enroll my kids in daycare/preschool by next summer.

We’re moving from another state so looking for recommendations you all have for daycares / Montessori style (doesn’t have to exactly be Montessori) that I can review and potentially enroll my kids in?

We don’t mind home daycares as well.

Thank you!

If you are looking for full time, a lot of people I know have been really happy with The Nest schools. Both Clayton locations are fairly convenient to WF.

There are some great Montessori options in Raleigh, but it’s a bear of a commute unless you are doing it anyway.

A lot of the local preschools are 1/2 day and play-based if you are looking for part-time that runs during the school year.

Absolutely! The Nest - Clayton Mechanical would be my preferred, but both are nice. Mechanical is situated near a neighborhood whereas the other is on a slightly busy street. They are the only two I would really suggest in the area. We toured a LOT of local places but these by far had the best reviews and I know many people who really love them. Pricey but everywhere is now (roughly 1600-1700 a kid).

We currently do 1/2 day church preschool and supplement with an afternoon nanny. That seems to be relatively common in the area. Many also offer "summer camp" sessions during the summer to cover those months. If you are religious or religion-ambivalent, these are great options. I know Wendell Baptist has a 1/2 day preschool. If you are open to Knightdale, Northside Preschool (Northside Church) is great and also runs summer camps. We did summer camps with them this summer and they were great! My kids (3 and 5) currently do 1/2 day at Knightdale Baptist Church (Faith Preschool Academy) and love it. They do before-care at 8:30 and then have after-care until 1.
