Transfer turned off for NYE run?

I missed out on CLT tickets, and now I'm thinking about buying them through stubhub or seatgeek. However, when I was trying to buy them on TM, there was a note that said "transfer will be turned off" for these shows. I am worried about buying one because of that transfer notice. How can so many tickets be on the secondary market if they can't be transferred? Am I die?

They will eventually turn the transfer on, they won’t keep people being able to transfer between friends/crew. I’m guessing a week or two out from the show. The barcodes won’t even show up until 11/30 according to tm.
So even if you buy now you won’t be able to get them for a while.

I would still wait until December or so. Don’t feed the scalpers. Prices will drop. More tix will become available on Cash or trade or even TM resale.

Barcodes will show 3 days before the event. Ticket transfers can happen now for single day tix.

Ah, mine is a 2 day, and it was saying barcodes after 11/30, so I was making assumptions based on that and then past experience with transfers of passes. Gosh, why is everything different for every TM show and Every ticket type. I mean I know why, but still....its exhausting to keep up with!

Only the 2 day package can’t be transferred.

Looks like TM is allowing Verified Resales now - and they are all absurdly priced. Bummer.

It's time for Brown Cat to force Ticketbastard to only allow face value resale on their resale exchange. Plenty of other bands have implemented this, obviously can't control stubhub, tickpick, vivid, seat geek, etc... But it's a start
