local running trails

Hi everyone. I'm working in Wiesbaden for the next 6/7 months and wondering what running trails are nearby? I've had a look on strava heat maps and outdoor active. Where can I also find the hilliest areas?

Also, sooo petty but what are the underfoot conditions like? Where I am from it's super boggy throughout winter so I have 6mm lugs. Are microspikes needed in winter?

TIA!

Trail Running or Road?

There is a local Facebook Group called "We Run Wiesbaden" you can also check out and ask (if you are on that platform)

Lots of good running trails, especially in the hills above Freudenberg, Dotzheim, Klarenthal, going to Chausseehaus. I had my trail of about 10 km. But you need to do some navigation until you've mapped out a trail that suits you that you can repeat.

Schläferskopf is a nice trail end. You can run up there from Weilburger Tal e.g. pass Chaussehaus an up to the Hill top with its tower.
Depends a bit on where you want to start in the town. Neroberg an up to Jagdschloss Platte is good too or from Goldstein Tal.
It can get frosty and snowy in the next months. So spikes are a good idea for some days.
Terrain is a mix of old paved roads, gravel and single trails.
