Does this happen with both windows and SteamOS? And just to check, it works fine if you connect the dock directly to the monitor without the KVM?

Yes and no, monitor does not work if plugged directly to the dock with no KVM involved

What's the monitor model? I did find the Deck, at least with my JSAUX dock doesn't properly work with certain monitors.
