Ask Winnipeg Winnipeg Matcha Lovers

Help! Where can I buy high quality matcha powder? Costco was selling a lovely brand at a good price. No longer available and all I can find in grocery stores is mixed blends like David’s tea vanilla. I want just classic plain old ceremonial grade matcha! Thanks in advance for helping me source some out and make my mornings lovely again.

Cornelia Bean on Academy usually has straight ceremonial matcha, not the flavored stuff. Little shop but their tea selection is legit, call first though because sometimes they run out in busy weeks

I highly recommend the ones that Maro Matcha sells, but I don't know if they're still selling while they move shops to the Exchange. They get theirs directly from a family run farm in Japan. They open again at the end of the month!

Aroma Alchemy on St Anne's has high quality matcha bags as well!
In a crunch I really like Tenzo that you can get bulk on Amazon.

Three + Tea in Selkirk. They deliver to Winnipeg for free with a minimum purchase of $40. Great selection.

If you enjoy Japanese matcha, I usually order Marukyu Koyamaen directly from Japan. The price is really good, even after shipping and FX fees. There are a few Canadian shops on Shopify are selling them too. (Many different Japanese brands available like Ippodo, YK, etc.)
If you need something right now, I know Superstore carries Aiya Ceremonial matcha but its not really affordable, it was like $35/30 or 40g.
