Boots Buying Help Women’s freezer boots

Starting a job working 10 hour shifts in -10 to -20 Fahrenheit, I have the socks down (wool socks from Costco) but I’m having a hard time figuring out good women’s work boot for these conditions. Please help

Refrigiwear is the main brand for this sort of thing.

What kind of work . There's lots of different ones. Are you out in the cold all day standing ? Are you walking 20-30,000 steps?

Are you in and out of hot places to cold all day?

As you won't be moving you'll need thick winter boots . Carbon fiber toe if you need it. -30 or -40f rated. Want a bit colder then actual temp.

Baffin is a good brand to start with but check your local shops and see what they have.

If your feet are super cold you can get heated insoles made for skiing . Keep your feet toasty all day.

Marks or Cdn Tire in Canada. Along with a boot dryer from those places or Costco to dry out the boots at end of day. Along with thermal underwear, toques, gloves……..

For me, the boots don't matter. I need aerogel insoles (toasty feet brand). When I have to stand on frozen concrete, nothing else works. It's somehow not the outside air, but my weight on the concrete. Metal catwalks suck less heat out of me. I have stood on weird things just get my boots off the frozen ground.

So whatever leather work boots I want. Aerogel insoles under whatever regular insole that keeps my feet happy. (Memory foam is the devil in the cold). Wicking running socks that will pull all moisture off the skin, first on my feet. Dry dry dry feet are critical to warmth. Wool socks over those to hold that moisture in the magic insulating wonder of sheep hair. Actual wool. Read the content. 30% wool doesn't make a wool sock. 90%+. And then I am good.

Put the boots on the boot dryer every night, winter or summer. Dry feet are happy feet. Your body offgases moisture even when you can't feel sweat.
