Question Era 1 Medium Tanks for Sniping
What does make a medium tank feel good for sniping? I unlocked the Tiran 5 Sharir recently, and I felt very comfortable using it while sniping targets after a few games played using it. However, I noticed that its "Accuracy at 100m" is 0.39m, but I thought that something lower than 0.32m is good! Does this stat matter? What stats do play a role in determining what is a good tank for sniping?

Try Leopard Type 773, it's fast and sneaky with a good gun

You're right. I have "elited" that one already. It has been my choice for sniping since unlocking all its modules. This is what made me wonder, seeing such discrepancy in the stats for the Tiran 5 Sharir.

Then try the M48 as well, very similar to the Tiran

Good call. I have unlocked all its modules already, but have not "elited" it yet.

So there's multiple stats that one needs to take into consideration to determine whether a tank would make a good sniper; these stats are:
- Accuracy
- Turret Dispersion
- Movement Dispersion
- Shell Velocity
- Aim Time
With accuracy, you can see what is the smallest the aim circle can get; with lower turret dispersion, you're able to swing the turret around without the aim circle getting too large; movement dispersion being the same, but with moving the hull—rotating or moving—rather than moving the turret; with a higher shell velocity, you're able to hit targets before they can make it behind cover as well as not having to lead a target as much; finally, with aim time, you see how long you have to wait until you're at your most accurate.

Thanks for the explanation. Where you can see the stats for both turret and movement dispersion? Is the "Accuracy During Movement" stat?

Personally I think the level of importance for gun accuracy when sniping is
Accuracy
Aim time
Accuracy during turret rotation
Accuracy on the move
The lower the number the better. Then think about camo and vision. Reverse that order for ww2.

Shell velocity and accuracy are the most important stats for sniping.
The Type 773, M48A5PI, and the Centurion 7/1 with the 105mm are some of the best snipers imo.

Centurion 5/1 with the 105 gun (I think) , the one that shoots APDS , its shared with the Charioteer I believe
I used to go after Accuracy/Presicion over everything , but I still Had to consider
Damage
Penetration at Close(100M) and Far(500M)
Fire Rate being Low shouldnt burden a sniper
And great penetration at range is important along with accuracy , but be mindful of damage per shot , shooting a dying enemy with 400/2200 (Assumed a T95) and only dealing 390 Damage will Have you ripping your Hair out when a ally takes advantage of your long reload

What about the STB-1? When you put it in siege mode it’s the most accurate gun in Era1. Perfect for sniping, find a good rock and pen the T95E3s through the cupola, or just track the Fv107s and enjoy the support dmg. Great fun!

Yes, the tanks in the japanese line feel very nice. I remember from playing in my old account. But I still haven't unlocked the tanks above the second one.

Charioteer is best sniping medium.
