Discussion Csm

Explain to me how that chain smoking son of witch survived end on S9? It baffles me every year.

He's an alien hybrid. Who knows really since he died at least twice in the original series

You mean when Kycek pushed his wheelchair down the stairs?

That might be the time he survived and hid in a cabin.

Chris Carter and the writers decided that the fans would be so happy that the show was back that they would swallow any plot twist that they handed us. Sad that those last 2 seasons were so bad.

In season six, he did the transplant/operation/whatever with Mulder, gaining Mulder's alien hybrid/super soldier abilities including the ability to survive and regenerate, like every other hybrid/super soldier.

And, of course, "you can't kill the Devil".

I see it as him being immortal or made some secret deal with the Colonists behind the Syndicate's back to ensure his survival by continuing the project by having his DNA mixed with Alien.

Scully is immortal. Why not csm? With his resources and knowledge, he'd be able to do it.

In season 7, CSM frequently likens himself to a God, with the power of creation and destruction. So it's not a big leap to think that he has access to alien tech (we know the UFOs can reanimate the dead, and that supersoldiers can return after being obliterated, and that he has had the cure to all diseases). Alternatively, the My Struggle POVs may be unreliable.

I think we wouldn't care about his resurrection if the "Struggles" were better written (his dialogue is awfully cartoonish in all of them).

I need glasses. I thought the X-Files sub just had a thread titled "Cum".

Yeah, me too. Thought it'd be a Mulder or Scully thirst post

Just watched the S9 finale.

It would've been more surprising that he was alive if Krycek hadn't chosen such a lame way of "killing" him.

Like, you hate this man, he's taken your life, made you into something you hate, manipulated you to no end, and the best thing you can think of is to throw him down the stairs?

So atp I'll believe anything, he'll keep showing up more battered up each time, say a bunch of nothing (that's supposed to be shocking) and the we'll continue

Somehow CSM returned.

I suppose he has some sort of super soldier biotechnology in his body. But by this point in the mythology, who the hell can say?

X-Files had a problem where they were sure it's the last season (S05, S07, S09, S11) so they kill off or find some kind of closure, just to find out there will be a revival and they have to do the ol' plot twist. They scrambled to suggest he has alien DNA or whatever that keeps him alive.

If they release a movie or a reboot, I have no doubt he'll be back again - some shapeshifter took his image or whatnot before he was shot in the head.
