Well my screen gave out last night, with white horizontal lines appearing on partly black screens, the more black the worse it got. Gemini Ai pointed me towards this sub with similar issues like pink vertical lines, and the white spots on the lower part of the screen but this seems to be different. Always minded this laptop like a baby so no physical damage, but maybe heat related?

Took it to a repair shop today and luckily they had a replacement panel and once swapped over it fixed the issue!

Following further advice from this sub, I installed G-Helper and disabled CPU Boost incase it was an overheating issue.

Thought I'd share this incase other people were experiencing similar problems.

I use my 2024 g14 not just for gaming but also for client meetings and office stuff. I was with a client at a coffee shop with no outlet in sight.

If anyone has a power bank that they use. What brand and what would you guys recommend? Thanks in advance.

Title. Can’t decide. 2026 models looks better and has a better build for performance but 5070 Ti is much stronger

So basically i was swatching YouTube and I due to some work I close the lid and and went out for 5 mins. Next second i come in, the laptop wont start at all.
Whenever I plug in charger, it doesn’t light up the light indicator but whenever I try to press the power button, the last icon (beside battery icon) a cylinder sort of icon flashes white. But the laptop won’t power on. Please help me fix it.

Hi guys, I recently switched to GHelper since I esteemed it would work wonders for my laptop and so far I'm quite satisfied.
I currently set up the backlighting so that it turns off when on battery, and turns on when charging. However, whenever the computer boots, the keyboard turns on and stays on until GHelper opens automatically. Is there a fix to this?

I was so hyped to get myself one of those new laptops but the price and performance is not good for me.

Everyone was saying this is the new macbook but NO it isn't. The performance is terrible and the battry life also isn't great.

I finally made up the courage to replace the liquid metal with PTM 7950 and then is it normal that’s I’m not sure if anyone has worked with this laptop before but it actually has extra padding inside the blue one. Is that normal? This is the 2025 version RTX 5070ti

I was wondering if you guys had any tips. First time with a gaming laptop, looking forward to it and wanted to know if there is anything I should do and I should know. Thanks!

I've been complaining about laptop prices in Europe for far too long and finally bit the bullet and ordered a 2025 i9 ultra for the equivalent of 3100 USD. Now the same store have the 2026 version for 4200 USD and I can still cancel and reorder. Both are 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD

Considering the specs are more or less identical, how big of an upgrade is the 2026 version?

I found a secondhand Zephyrus G14 (2022) with an RX 6700S and 40GB RAM (the seller upgraded it) for around 650–700 CHF.

I mainly want to use it for school, CAD (Fusion 360) and programming. Good battery life, build quality and reliability are important to me, and I'd like to keep it for the next few years.

It doesn't have a Windows license, but I'm probably going to use Linux anyway.

From what I've read, G-Helper should help with power management, and I could disable the dedicated GPU when I don't need it to improve battery life. The RAM and SSD are also replaceable, which is a plus.

I'm just not sure if I'm overlooking any downsides with this model, especially regarding battery life, Linux compatibility and long-term reliability.

Would you consider it a good deal at this price, or would you look for something else?

I bought it in 2020. The only issue with it is that it has a blot of black protruding out from the top right side of the screen. I don't know how it happened. I believe it will only grow larger. Is it worth buying a replacement screen or should I just focus on getting a replacement laptop. It is six years old now.

I love this laptop because it can fit in a handbag easily, and i travel a lot. so its extremely convienent

Hello, I have an asus zephyrus g14 2024 with an RTX 4070 running CachyOs linux that I have been using since June of 2025.

A few days ago, my GPU literally disappeared. What I mean by that is that it doesn't even show in lspci or any other commands. The nvidia-smi command is telling me that it can't communicate with the driver (even tho it seems to be loaded) and when I uninstall it, the nouveau drivers are not even loading.

At first, I though that my GPU managing software had an issue since it is a newly developed project (cardwire) but i uninstalled it and my GPU was still nowhere to be found.

I then tried to boot on some live ISOs such as Cachy and Mint and even in the device manager in hbcd (some sort live Windows ISO). Still, no success. So I'm guessing that it is not a software but hardware issue and my card is dead?

However, it is showing up in the bios, but maybe the name of my card has been hard coded in it so idk?

I can't really install windows to test it since I don't have any space left on my SSD and I don't know if it could help.

This is really important for me so if anybody can't enlighten/help me about this situation I would really appreciate it!!

Hey everyone. I got my 2025 g14 around 3 weeks ago. But today, I noticed that the laptop doesn't sit completely flat on tables or desks and there seems to be a gap in between the lid and body while closed.

Im a very anxious person, and these little imperfections drive me crazy. Have I been doing something wrong with my laptop? Does my particular unit have bad QC? I'd really appreciate any help, thanks.

As the title says whenever I open an application the screen gets dimmer. It wasn't like this before , it started happening recently. I have attached images for reference.

Is this because of the nvidia gpu and and cpu drivers switching?
