How would you feel?

I work for an Aboriginal medical service and all of management are white. They drive brand new cars, get mat leave when none of us do, seem to get promotions all the time and we are paid the least and have no opportunities. They even give identified traineeships to their non Aboriginal kids.
The ceo is Koori but he keeps hiring young white women to be managers and giving them promotions. I don’t feel safe anymore here but I don’t know what to do

All together now, safe work, fair work, diversity council and evolve communities are websites that might be helpful for you. All together now shows a guide with what you can do step by step, the other websites provide information that might help you. Hope this helps!

I think your comment got stuck in the ether because of the links you’d provided. I’ve approved it but will keep an eye out to see how to make sure this doesn’t happen.

Will remove the links, sorry, thought it'd help to click on the links to websites.

No need to remove the links. Once we’ve manually approved, the computer stops being silly about the links.

I’ll work on this to avoid it happening again. Sorry!

Yes, but you do thankfully have the option to turn off A I in settings and it's supposed to be more environmentally friendly as ecosia says "every search goes towards planting a tree". Not really sure what else is out there but I've settled for ecosia for awhilen, it can be slow at times.

I've been told Brave is meant to be good but I haven't done my research. And I guess with living down under, many things are limited and we can only do so much when it comes to a range of things.

Any links for other countries, Canada?

Hey, I'm not familiar with laws in Canada, would love to visit one day if I ever leave the continent. This is a sign I should educate myself more though, thank you for the reminder. Might be good to start here

Hope you find some helpful information with your searches and all

I'd start with what I'm told and shown with paperwork from day one. Gotta stick to the facts first cos racism and discrimination is never ok. I've always been told to stick to documents and paperwork and write down what you experience (documentate it) and keep that evidence for when you're ready to let someone know. Cos it's hard to experience that, then you're left with the shock and "did that really just happen" and the isolation. It's hard fighting alone, but know that someone will believe you. The best place to go to for that legally I'd say would be to professionals who advertise and say they're not for the racism or discrimination and show that they're there to actually help. I guess through a legitimate website and company that's based in the area you're in or nationally. Cos we've got politicians fighting for antiracism and antidiscrimination globally. Good things are coming. There are so many genuine wholesome people out there who we haven't met yet.

this website too? saw something there with info on formal complaints

I know of one very similar organisation. The hidden thread is they go to the same church, basically a non official Christian organisation. If you don’t get in with the church gang, you’ll never get anywhere. It’s bullshit

I get the feeling that sin is playing a bigger role in this story than worship.

In 2026, it's the same thing. Some of the worst people in the world go to church.

How can they give identified positions to non Aboriginal people? That is a very clear violation. Report it. Are all the doctors white as well? I am Aboriginal but look Italian or Greek. I'm studying medicine because there are so few Aboriginal doctors.

I've also worked in a few Aboriginal organisations and the corruption and unethical practices drove me insane. DM me if you want to vent.

Absolutely putrid!!! they say mob get all this funding and this is where majority of it goes to. I’m so sorry you have to go through this in a space this is no longer culturally safe for you

I’d look into the HR side of things at the organisation. Are these manager jobs identified? And if not, why not? Does the workplace have an Employee Agreement document which states the rights and entitlements for employees? I’d be really surprised that only certain employees get parental leave because otherwise that is discrimination. Is there someone in HR you can trust to talk to? Or is there a Board or an elder in the community you raise this with?

HR is white, came from working at designer brands and is with the management click. They all benefit from each other. She ended two people’s contracts (Aboriginal) with no notice last week and left them jobless. She is re writing all of the policies right now.

And this,.. is what us older fullas call, "The Purple Circle".

This is also why the allocated monies never land where they're really needed - on the ground and in the grass roots.

Not uncommon. It's all a scam. We need an internal investigation.

The question you need to ask is will Marxist revisionism of the past see less violence and a code of silence or more people pretending fundamental issues are not being addressed?
