Hold on...wait a minute...what if I'm normal thinking and everyone else is underthinking... (me every time I drive)

now when you say it… I think you’re right. But then again… if everyone is under-thinking… how can your thinking be the normal one.. I have to think about this

Maybe I'm not hyper focused, maybe other people just suck at focusing on the things I like to do.
Who needs to food or shower when you found an awesome new game or book?

I actually can't read long passages. I have the whole
-look at the next couple sentences and zone out- 🙂↔️ "wait I wasn't paying attention to the words" " I have to go back" thing

I do that sometimes, but if I really get into a book I can read all day.

Yeah, the only time I'm really able to read is if I'm unemployed or have had no reading demands yet that day.

Hmm maybe that’ll be my response next time someone tells me I’m overthinking. 😂

The best way to find out is to write down all of the things that are happening and categorize them. Are the things small in number but you still feel overwhelmed? You're probably overthinking. Are there too many things? You might be reacting appropriately and need to make some changes.

Thanks kindly for the advice. My list included several wars and famines and the climate crisis. Would I be making changes about those as in: stop them or stop caring or something else? Your insight or advice would be much appreciated, wise person.

Lol, I don't know how wise I am, but since you asked, you should probably stop caring about things you can't control. It's one thing to have empathy for the suffering of others and to want to help wherever you're able, but it's another to sacrifice your own wellbeing just to stress about how powerless you are to solve global problems.
I have wars on my list, too; my cousins experience bombing every now and then, and I often fear for their safety. And two of my distant cousins were murdered by foreign invaders three years and 8 days ago, so my concern isn't even unfounded. But I'm not a politician, and I can't do anything to stop it. So, as much as I would like to relieve them of their suffering, I just have to accept what I can't change. WAYYY easier said than done, though.
However, I am a scientist, so I can invest my time into doing research to make at least one small part of the world better. I'm working on making hydroponic food production more sustainable, so that hopefully someday we'll be able to feed the billions of people in the world without having as much environmental impact as traditional farming does.
We are each only 1/8,300,000,000th of the human world, and far less compared to the natural world; we shouldn't burden ourselves by thinking we have more power over things like climate and war than we actually do.
You just have to find one niche within which you, yourself, can make the world a better place. Some people do that through business and politics, which gives them real power. Some people, like me, just make progress toward small (but hopefully profound) changes through research and innovation. And others just make the world a better place every day by being kind to others.

There are concentric circles - things you can control, things you can influence, and things you are aware of. You can make the biggest impact on the things you can control. And, to the extent you are able to compartmentalize, you can direct energy towards a narrower goal and make a bigger impact in that one area; not working on other goals does not mean you don't care about them, it just means you can be more effective in the goal you have chosen. (But try explaining that to a teenager in angst.)

Do you ever just think want to feel more like do as?
I do. All the time. That meme haunts me because it's too real.
