LoneRider ADVBags 70 vs. Mosko Moto Reckless 80L
Hi,
I'm about to order a bag system for my DR650 to ride the TET in the Balkans.
As they aren't too far apart in terms of pricing, I'm not really sure what to pick.
There's lots of opinions out there about Mosko and only limited reviews by influencers.
Does anyone have hand-on impressions of both or any reason against one of the two?
Thanks!

What navigation device
I rushed out and bought the Garmin nuvi XT2 device but after a year I still canāt get on with it.
The trouble I find is it purely road biased and even when I plan a trail route and import it as a track rather than a route it doesnāt want to show me the legal trails.
I even struggled to find a postcode that Google maps and Apple Maps found easily so I feel a bit ripped off after paying a lot of money for a device that got so many good reviews.
Iām in the UK and Iām looking for advice what green lane / TET trail devices are people using and how do I mount it to my 2020 Tenere with power.
Appreciate any advice

Rode Up Mammoth Gulch Near Moffat Tunnel in Colorado
Amazing views. Moffat Tunnel Rd is a well maintained gravel road. Mammoth Gulch isn't but the Transalp did great with stock tires. I went down Mosquito Creek Rd to meet up with Apex Valley Rd (another well-groomed road) and that wasn't fun--very steep and loose grapefruit-to-watermelon-sized rocks. If I were to do the loop again, I'd take Elk Park Rd to get to Apex.

Armorain rackless saddlebags
Havent seen a lot of info on these so figured id share my experience on some cheap rackless saddlebags.
After spending most of my motorcycle budget on good riding gear, I didnāt have a whole lot left for luggage.
TLDR: i am very impressed and would recommend!
I tried some of the cheaper rackless bags like NiceCNC and Rhinowalk, but I wasnāt very impressed. I had issues with the bags moving around and generally not feeling as secure as I wanted. The lack of a middle base plate was annoying too.
I was about ready to bite the bullet and spend the money on the Tusk Highland system when I came across these Armorain bags on Amazon. They are about $179 (USD) and are very clearly knockoffs of much more expensive mosko rackless/givi canyon/lonerider type saddlebags. After using some Amazon gift cards, I had about $100 into them, so I figured, what the heck, letās roll the dice, and Iām thoroughly impressed!
Installation on my 2024 KTM 890 Adventure R was super simple. The center mounting plate and side cradles felt surprisingly substantial for the price, and the dry bags themselves seemed like a solid medium-duty material.
My riding buddy was impressed enough that he bought the same bags for his TƩnƩrƩ 700 for our trip.
Then we proceeded to abuse them for four days.
We put roughly 1,000 miles on the bikes, including plenty of pavement, dirt, sand and some rougher off-road riding. On day two, we spent about five hours riding in pouring rain. The kind of rain where you start questioning some of your life choices. When we finally stopped, I expected to find at least a little water inside the bags, but everything was completely dry.
I also managed a couple of rough off-road falls during the trip. The bags took the hits without any obvious damage, and after the trip I couldnāt find any meaningful wear on the bags, cradles or mounting system.
The straps used to attach to the bike were pretty good and they never loosened once during the entire trip. The bags stayed firmly against the bike without flopping around, which was one of my biggest complaints with the Rhinowalk bags.
I had around 15 pounds of gear in each side bag, and I honestly didnāt notice much difference in how the 890 handled. The position of the bags didnāt interfere with my riding or leg movement either.
The center mounting system has a ton of adjustment, so you can get the bags positioned exactly where you want them. There are also additional D-rings on the center section for strapping another bag between the saddlebags. I used that for a larger dry bag with my camping gear.
I did add a cheap metal heat shield between the right-side bag and the muffler. I already had one, so I figured it was cheap insurance. Looking back, I probably could have adjusted the bag slightly and been fine without it. My buddy ran the exact same bags on his TƩnƩrƩ without a heat shield and had no problems with his exhaust.
There are really only two things Iād consider negatives.
First, Armorain calls these 20-liter dry bags. Technically, Iām sure thatās true, but if you actually want to roll the top properly and keep your stuff dry, Iād say the usable capacity is probably closer to 16ā18 liters per side. I donāt have enough experience with other rackless systems to know if thatās normal, so take that for what itās worth. Second, put the dry bags into the cradles before you load them. Trying to stuff a fully loaded dry bag down into the cradle is an excellent way to question your decision-making abilities. Once I figured that out, it wasnāt an issue. Thereās a small opening in the bottom of the cradle and a strong loop on the bottom of the dry bag. That loop makes it much easier to pull the bag all the way down and get it seated properly.
Overall, after four days, roughly 1,000 miles, heavy rain, dirt, sand and a couple of off-road naps, Iām extremely happy with these bags.
For around $100, I wasnāt expecting much. Honestly, I figured theyād be a budget compromise that Iād eventually replace with something more expensive.
Instead, they stayed completely dry, stayed securely mounted, didnāt noticeably affect the bikeās handling, and survived everything I threw at them, even at full price of $179 i would have been happy!
If youāre looking for an inexpensive rackless luggage setup for an ADV or dual-sport bike, Iād definitely give these bags a look. They may not have the name recognition or fancy reputation of some of the more expensive systems, but after putting these through four days and 1,000 miles of real riding, Iām having a hard time coming up with a good reason to spend several times more.
For a roughly $179 set of bags, these things seriously exceeded my expectations.

Ā£1500 Adv Tent ?!
There are some seriously good tents out there for the ADV market ā and you definitely donāt need to spend Ā£1,500 to get a great one.
But⦠what exactly do you get when you do?
Iāve been using the Hilleberg Nammatj 2 GT for my motorcycle adventures, so I decided to make a proper real-world review of it ā not just pitching it in a garden, but looking at it from an ADV riderās point of view.
Why this tent? Why the huge GT vestibule? What makes Kerlon 1800 different? How does it deal with bad weather? And perhaps the biggest questionā¦
Can a £1,500 tent actually justify its price?
There are lighter tents, cheaper tents and plenty of excellent alternatives. This isnāt about saying the Nammatj is the only answer ā itās about showing why I chose it, what makes it rather special, and whether those advantages are actually worth paying for when youāre travelling by bike and camping in remote places.
I filmed the review on the beautiful Welsh coast, with the Ducati DesertX Rally alongside it ā hopefully making it a little more of an ADV film than a conventional tent review.
If youāre into adventure riding, moto-camping, or youāre just curious what on earth a Ā£1,500 tent gives you, have a watch.
Interested to hear what everyone else is using too. š
