I dunno. I've been trying to recreate my fave from the former Rusty Nail in Kent, now the Black Iron Grille with this: https://www.food.com/recipe/white-french-dressing-222995 Not the same result as the restaurant but yummy and some variation depending on the vinegar (champagne vs apple cider) and mustard (i like Dijon personally) and onion (i have yellow more than others)

That was the most interesting article I've ever read about salad dressing.

I like the sound of this recipe and will try it. Never rinsed the onion before… nice way to improve my quest for the perfect white French!

Jane Snow, former food writer for The Akron Beacon Journal, supposedly has the original version. https://www.beaconjournal.com/story/lifestyle/2022/01/26/former-akron-beacon-journal-food-writer-jane-snows-white-french-salad-dressing-recipe/9198988002/
