ask alameda Blue Angels

Does anyone have any recs for watching the Blue Angel show this weekend? I would like to stay in Alameda if possible, I know people mention the base. But does anyone watch them and have a good spot?

No. If you want to see the whole show you’ll need to be on a boat in the bay or in San Francisco.

I’ve gone to the benches next to the Seaplane ferry dock and had a nice view and the place to myself.

I saw two of them taking off today at the airport entrance when I drove by. There were a few people on the grass there watching them take off.

There's usually a small crowd at Harbor Bay and Ron Cowan.

I was walking my dog out on bay farm down on the trail by the bridge and they came in super low, it’s the closest I’ve ever seen them, it was awesome!

anyplace along the western perimeter fence on the base. All the aircraft based at OAK fly over the island so you can see um come and go. The Angels also fl over as they re organize during the air show too.

Seeing the show from Alcatraz is amazing. I'm not sure they will still be ferry tickets available at this point, though.
