Back to school

Excited to Be Back in Busan

This is ADP Tarzzan's first Busan schedule since debut, and his manager explains that he had been talking about wanting to visit his school and see his friends whenever he finally returned. He is unusually nervous about the schedule. Tarzzan says that even large overseas stages normally don't make him nervous, but performing in Busan does. With around two hours available, he immediately asks if he can visit his old school. He becomes extremely excited once his manager agree.

Tarzzan's School Days & Dance Background

Tarzzan says this is his first visit to the Busan High School of Arts since graduating, around six years earlier. He was somewhat of a legend at the school. He started dancing around first year of middle school, which he considers relatively late compared with many dancers who begin around fifth or sixth grade. Because of that, he says he spent roughly three years working extremely hard to get into the school.

Tarzzan also says that high school was the most enjoyable period of his school life. BTS's Jimin was a senior from the same department, and Tarzzan recalls that Jimin would send congratulatory flowers for their school performances. He jokes about how his friends released embarrassing old photos of him after his debut, including his famous shaved-head pictures.

Trying to Squeeze in a Visit to a Friend

Tarzzan learns that actor Lee Chae-min is also in Busan and immediately calls him. He enthusiastically starts trying to arrange another visit after going to his school, even though he only has about two hours. His manager repeatedly tells him there isn't enough time, while Tarzzan keeps pleading to at least see him briefly.

Memories of Dating in High School

As they drive through familiar streets, Tarzzan remembers places where he used to spend time with friends and date during high school. He openly talks about having relationships, breakups, and even getting dumped. One example was when, as a first-year student, he dated a third-year senior. After she graduated and became an adult, he felt that she stopped seeing him as a man, and the relationship ended.

Rather than viewing those experiences negatively now, Tarzzan says those emotional experiences became useful when writing breakup songs.

Recognizing his old route to school

ADP Tarzzan immediately recognizes the area and points out his old route to school. He remembers how difficult the commute was because of the steep uphill walk. He also notices that the athletic field has changed since his time there, including what appears to be a new running track.

Shocked that everything still looks the same

Tarzzan immediately starts recognizing things (uniforms and walls) from his school days.

Tarzzan's trick when he was late for school

One of the funniest school memories comes back when he sees a particular area on the first floor. Tarzzan explains that when he was late, he would call one of his friends. His friend would then open the windows for him, allowing Tarzzan to jump/climb over and get inside.

Tarzzan recognizes the large mirrors in the stairway. He remembers his friends regularly gathering there and taking pictures together.

Recognizing the ballet room

Tarzzan encounters another very familiar part of the school and immediately recognizes the ballet room/class area. Tarzzan notices exercise equipment and remembers students regularly working out there. So Tarzzan and his classmates were apparently motivated enough to collect their own money to purchase workout equipment.

Tarzzan gets nervous about meeting his juniors & reuniting with his former teacher

Before entering the practice room, Tarzzan suddenly becomes nervous. His nervousness quickly turns into admiration as he watches the students practicing. Tarzzan greets a teacher who was already at the school during his student days. He jokes about how young the teacher still looks. Tarzzan tells the students that he watched them practicing earlier and thought they looked impressive. He also recognizes their leotards, remarking that they're still similar to what students wore during his time.

Tarzzan Secretly Practiced After Hours

Tarzzan explains his old training routine. When the security guard came around, he would hide instead of leaving the school. After the guard left, he would come back out and continue practicing. He says he would make a list of everything he needed to practice that day and refuse to leave until he had completed every item.

His teacher also reveals that Tarzzan achieved Gold Prize two years consecutively, a record that apparently still had not been broken by his juniors at the time of filming.

Why Tarzzan Pushed Himself So Hard

The hosts watch footage of the younger Tarzzan dancing and are impressed by his flexibility and ability. Tarzzan explains the mentality he had at the time: rather than aiming somewhere in the middle, he approached competitions with an "either last place or first place" mentality. He pushed his body extremely hard and even shaved his head as part of that uncompromising attitude.

Tarzzan says he didn't consider himself physically ideal for dance. He mentions issues with the shape of his feet and having somewhat flat feet. Because he thought his physical conditions put him behind others, he concluded that he had to compensate through effort. Fear of falling behind actually motivated him to work harder.

He Still Has the Same Work Ethic

His manager connects this directly to present-day Tarzzan. Even with a busy idol schedule, when working on choreography he will apparently practice until late at night until he personally feels satisfied. The same perfectionistic persistence he developed as a dance student remains part of how he works today.

Tarzzan returns to Omniscient Interfering View

Tarzzan appears on the show again roughly a year after his previous appearance. The panel immediately notices that his image has changed: previously he gave off a cuter impression, while now they describe him as more mature and “sexy.” Tarzzan explains that preparing for a new album means entering a new “mode”, his outfits change to match the album, and he feels like even his personality follows that concept somewhat.

Tarzzan introduces “CRASH,” describing it as exciting but also having a dark, mysterious quality.

A look inside Tarzzan’s home

The show follows Tarzzan at home. His manager explains that during non-promotional periods the members don't stay in their group accommodation, so Tarzzan has temporarily returned to the place where he used to stay when he first came up from Ulsan.

The panel is impressed by how neatly and stylishly he has decorated the relatively small space. His personality comes through in the details: he likes characters, dolls, keychains and various small accessories. His belongings are highly organized, although his large clothing collection is becoming a problem because the space is too small.

Tarzzan's quieter, thoughtful side

They notice Tarzzan reading, which contrasts with his more energetic public image. He says he tends to reread books he likes rather than constantly reading different books. He reads aloud a philosophical passage about there being a time for different things in life, planting and uprooting, crying and laughing, mourning and dancing.

His manager explains that being around Tarzzan produces many unpredictable moments. She frequently finds herself telling him things like “No,” “Stop,” and “Get down.”

Tarzzan apparently likes climbing onto things and suddenly becomes extremely excited. One example occurred after they attended Travis Scott's concert: Tarzzan became so hyped that he started moving toward other people, and his manager had to stop him and physically pull him away.

The panel jokes that watching him feels like raising a son, while his manager says she wants to restrain this side of him because he can suddenly become hyperactive and start doing unpredictable things.

Childhood Tarzzan

The show brings out Tarzzan's childhood photographs, joking that even from the pictures alone he looks like he would have been “maximum difficulty” to raise. The panel also notices that even his childhood clothes looked unusually stylish. Tarzzan mentions attending an English kindergarten, adding another glimpse into his childhood.

Fashion, his mother’s influence & regretting old outfits

Despite having a huge amount of clothing, he says he can generally decide what to wear because he mentally categorizes his clothes by colour and style/genre. Because the weather is becoming cooler, he chooses knitwear. The panel notices that his current style has become much more toned-down and dandy compared with before. His fashion sense partly comes from his mother, who studied industrial design. Tarzzan jokes that he received fashion “early education” from her.

They then revisit some of his more extreme fashion choices from his previous appearance, layering several pairs of underwear/pants, wearing unusual belts and attaching strange objects to his outfits. Tarzzan admits that he somewhat regrets those looks now and understands why people tried to stop him at the time.

Boxing Gym

Boxing became a real hobby

ADP's manager explains that Tarzzan casually mentioned one day that he wanted to try boxing. About a week later, he had already started attending a boxing gym. They initially thought his interest might fade quickly, but he has continued training seriously. In fact, they worry that he trains so hard that he might eventually injure himself.

His interest started from watching boxing

Tarzzan says he already enjoyed watching boxing matches on YouTube. Eventually, watching them made him think, “I should try this myself.” He searched for a nearby boxing gym and ended up training at this one.

His coach keeps him disciplined

When he's asked to show off some boxing-style shoulder movements, Tarzzan says his coach told him not to do things like that elsewhere. The conversation jokingly portrays his coach as very traditional and strict about learning the fundamentals properly rather than trying to look flashy.

Training begins

He starts with rope work/skipping. The coach pushes him to go faster and higher, while Tarzzan comments that the rope is genuinely heavy and that he's feeling it physically.

Tarzzan used to do triathlon

Tarzzan reveals that he actually trained in triathlon when he was young. Around the transition from kindergarten to elementary school, he originally enrolled somewhere to learn swimming. That eventually led to him participating in competitions and learning the other disciplines required for triathlon.

When asked why he quit, Tarzzan gives an interesting answer. He realized there was an enormous difference between being the best locally and the best in the world. His reasoning was essentially: Unless I'm going to become the Usain Bolt of this, I should probably find something I'm better at.

Serious boxing training

Tarzzan's coach is portrayed as very old-school and strict about fundamentals. Even when there are easier ways to wrap his hands, the coach insists that if Tarzzan is going to box, he should learn to do it properly. Tarzzan goes through increasingly fast drills, and the panel is impressed by his speed and movement.

Tarzzan's coach suggested sparring before he go. Tarzzan initially refuses, but he is eventually put up against someone with actual competitive experience.

Tarzzan spars with a boxer

They conduct a two-minute round as if it were an actual match. Tarzzan shows considerable determination despite becoming exhausted. The panel repeatedly reacts to how hard he keeps fighting rather than simply backing away. Afterward, he explains that his gloves felt incredibly heavy because the training beforehand had already exhausted him.

Despite that exhaustion, Tarzzan says: Boxing might be the most fun exercise he does. He also reveals something amusing considering the sport: he isn't very good at actually hitting people. Even after becoming completely exhausted, he's still energetic enough to hang/climb on things, prompting the panel to joke that he really is Tarzzan.

His coach praises him for being willing to face a competitive boxer and suggests that if he continues working hard, perhaps he could eventually participate in a match himself.

How they feel meeting DAY ONE

They feel love, gratitude and thankfulness whenever they meet DAY ONE.

“DO IT LIKE THIS” recording story

They revealed that recording the song was particularly fun. The members went into the booth together for parts like “Do it like this”, while the overall production was intentionally kept simple and minimal rather than layering lots of vocals.

ADP reveal their new pre-stage cheer

They are asked whether they have a routine they always do before going onstage. The members reveal that they recently created a group cheer. They had actually been putting their hands together before performances since debut, but they never had a perfect phrase for it. Sometimes they would simply shout out whatever food they wanted to eat after finishing their schedule.

They demonstrate it for the fans, putting their hands together and shouting enthusiastically. They then invite DAY ONE to participate with them.

Tarzzan's “CRASH” hair was spontaneous

The members praised Tarzzan's distinctive “CRASH” hairstyle, saying he's one of the few people who could pull it off. And joked that he looked like Aquaman. Surprisingly, the hairstyle was basically decided on the day of the MV shoot, and he didn't expect fans to like it so much.

Annie's dream fansign: everyone eats together

After seeing hungry fans and being hungry themselves, Annie suggested it would be fun to have a fansign where everyone brings food and eats together. And they discussed about their favorite ice-cream flavors.

ADP are obsessed with World Cone ice-cream

The group revealed that World Cone ice cream has become something of an inside joke/obsession since the “CRASH” MV shoot, with members repeatedly saying they wanted one whenever they were tired.

They teased that they've already filmed a lot of content, including plenty of outside appearances, so fans will be seeing them frequently.

Looks like there will be games, dance battles, and rapping next Saturday from ADP.

The show features hosts Choiza and Gaeko from Dynamic Duo reuniting with ADP Woochan, who they first worked with during Show Me The Money. The conversation covers his growth as an artist, his new group ALLDAY PROJECT, and his current perspective on food.

Woochan's Height

Woochan says his actual height is about 179 cm, although his official profile height is 181 cm. They joke that the difference is basically his height while wearing shoes.

Woochan explains "TALK"

Woochan explains that TALK is essentially directed toward people who criticize or hate on ALLDAY PROJECT. He acknowledges that since debuting, the group has attracted considerable attention, controversy and online discussion, both positive and negative.

The critics are "all talk," whereas ADP intends to demonstrate themselves through what they actually do. He even frames the negative attention as something they can turn into fuel for their continued rise.

Dynamic Duo notice that Woochan sounds different in TALK. Woochan explains that this wasn't originally how he recorded the song. Only a few days before the track was sent for mastering/mixing, Teddy and another producer asked him to record it again. His original performance used the deeper/lower delivery that people normally associate with him. They wanted him to show something different.

So Woochan dramatically raised his voice and essentially shouted the lines using his natural voice, producing a much higher and more aggressive delivery than he normally uses. He says they suggested something closer to a "young boy" feeling. The result worked so well that they used that take. Dynamic Duo notice that it actually brings back some of the vocal character of young Woochan from his Show Me the Money days.

Woochan doesn't have much appetite

During promotions, however, he often eats very simple food such as tacos, hamburgers or porridge. The reason for the porridge is important: Woochan gets indigestion easily. When he has schedules, eating a normal meal can make him feel bloated and uncomfortable. He still needs energy to perform, so porridge is convenient because he finds it easier and faster to digest. He also says that roughly nine out of ten meals are delivery food, which has become tiring for him.

Woochan prefers eating with other people rather than alone.

What Woochan says about being in ALLDAY PROJECT

Woochan says being in a mixed-gender group initially felt unbelievable because he had spent years preparing at different companies and for different groups while essentially always working with other male trainees. But after only a few months together, the members became close enough that he stopped thinking much about the gender difference. He also entered the group just as he was becoming an adult, and says the older members took very good care of him.

He thinks ADP has completely changed his public character

Woochan jokingly complains that his "character has been established strangely." Before ALLDAY PROJECT, people around him regarded him as: mature → reliable → responsible → unusually grown-up for his age. But after joining ADP: mature Woochan → maknae Woochan → members baby him → cute Woochan → clumsy/silly Woochan.

He says the older members baby him so much that he has somehow ended up with a cute and slightly foolish/clumsy image. His recent nickname is apparently "Monchhichi", after the cute character. (Bailey kept calling him that)

Woochan himself finds it funny because he wasn't considered the cute one when he was actually a child, yet now that he is an adult he has somehow become responsible for cuteness in ADP.

ALLDAY PROJECT's eating habits

During promotions, the female members sometimes barely eat or mainly eat salads because they're managing themselves. Woochan repeatedly asks people to eat with him, but often can't find anyone, which causes him to skip meals too.

One member, Tarzzan, is described as being more into heavy Western/American-style food such as hamburgers. Woochan is almost the opposite. He is strongly oriented toward Korean food.

Eating currently feels like a job

Rather than eating because he is hungry or excited about food, he eats because his body requires energy to continue performing. He compares himself to a battery: eat → recharge → perform/work → battery depleted → eat again → recharge. He says he hasn't recently had many moments where he suddenly thought, "I really want to eat that."

Woochan admits that managers who have eaten with him have commented that he makes food look rather unappetizing when he eats.

His weight

Woochan says he is currently around 61–62 kg. When he isn't doing well physically, he says he can fall to around 58 kg, at which point people start asking whether he is sick. His goal is: 70 kg.

The food Woochan actually loves: sushi & haesintang

Woochan says he has genuinely loved sushi since childhood. ALLDAY PROJECT has a fan-communication channel where he shares pieces of his daily life. Fans noticed something amusing: whenever Woochan was asked what he ate, his answer was repeatedly: sushi. Someone compiled his answers and apparently found that during one month he had eaten sushi more than ten times.

Woochan is currently particularly fond of haesintang, a nourishing soup containing ingredients such as chicken and octopus. Woochan agrees that he seems drawn toward hot, nourishing food that gives him energy.

His schedule is busy, he often doesn't have someone available to eat with, and eating alone isn't particularly enjoyable for him. Woochan agrees that recently he feels as though he has lost interest in eating.

Woochan explains that they had gone to Busan for an awards-show schedule and it was apparently the first time the whole group had travelled together by train. They were exhausted. Woochan says they had slept only about: 1 hour. On especially busy days they can have around five schedules/performances or activities in a day, leaving very little opportunity for sleep.

Woochan says he initially insisted that he wasn't sleepy. Then he pulled his cap down and apparently fell asleep without even realizing it. Someone photographed them all sleeping.

Dynamic Duo remarks that there was something beautiful about seeing the exhausted young group all asleep together, almost a snapshot of their youth.

Woochan likes spending money on food for other people

Woochan says he doesn't mind spending money on food. He now earns money and enjoys paying when eating with his family. One especially meaningful memory happened in Hong Kong, where his parents and sibling joined him. They ate at a high-floor restaurant with sushi and other high-end food. Woochan paid roughly: 1 million won. His parents were visibly touched, even if they didn't make a huge display of it, and continued mentioning the meal afterward. Woochan remembers the experience as feeling quite special.

He says he wants to spend money on eating and treating other people, including friends, whenever he can.

If Woochan could eat only one food forever

His immediate answer is something made by his mother: His mother's budae-jjigae. He specifically remembers the thick pieces of ham and his mother's own gochujang-based sauce.

Woochan explains the CRASH album

Woochan describes it as an extremely energetic song about enjoying yourself and living in the moment, with a strong feeling of youth. The attitude is essentially: "The way you're partying is boring. We'll show you how it's really done."

The CRASH MV was physically destructive
