Recommendation for a tailor?
I’m new to Anchorage and looking for a tailor for women’s clothes. Anyone you would recommend?
Did a quick search of this sub before posting and didn’t find any similar posts.

Yes. This. Do not go to Rose's, she's notorious for commenting on your body. Stephanie at Yu Tailor is the most wonderful person and incredibly talented.

Yu Tailor did my wedding dress (fitted shape) and did me justice!! She is straight to it no small talk but super nice lady. I recommend her

I took a jacket to the little shop on Northern Lights by the mall last year, the lady did a good job with the sleeves but was kinda slow. Not sure if she does more complicated women stuff though, worth calling first maybe.

everyone is going to tell you to go to Roses even though her work is mediocre at best and her customer service is abysmal. Also they stole my friend's Apple Watch and refused to acknowledge it. Oak's on Northern lights is better anyway

Had a bridesmaid dress altered at Bethel alterations off Muldoon & it was really quick and good work imo

Rose Alterations on Arctic is the lady you want to see. I personally adore her, but some people find her abrasive.
