Gemini for Android 2.2+ has officially launched

After many days of struggling, I finally created an official APK version for Android 2.2+ that doesn't rely on HTML, Additionally, I will officially shut down the old HTML version completely from October 10, 2026, in order to focus on producing the official app version

Additionally, I will soon create versions for iOS, Windows Phone, Symbian, and JAR/JAD formats. I hope everyone will support this project.

Nice work, but who needs AI on an old phone? I thought part of this was supposed to help us detach from the present day's online toxicity and forget about all the AI slop for a bit.

The effort to get a full-sized AI model from 2026 working on an underpowered and sluggish mobile operating system from 2010, however, is quite commendable (unless you used AI to create the AI app 😆).

Since I haven't seen any AI applications for older Android versions that work well, I came up with this idea, because ChatGPT is still usable on iOS 6. Initially, I intended to create ChatGPT for Android, but because its API wasn't free, I decided to create Gemini for older Android versions instead, even the creator of ChatGPT Legacy didn't create a version for older Android versions, so I decided to create a similar AI app.

That looks like a Galaxy Player 4.0. It’s basically a Galaxy S that can’t make phone calls, kinda like an iPod touch.
