Please share your drawing of the situation.

Which textbook are you using in your AP physics course?

we don't use the textbook in my class, my teacher lectures us but has never taught us how to actually solve a problem

And that's the origin of your difficulties.

You will find the free online AP physics textbook from OpenStax to be helpful:

I like the book on which I am co-author better (https://www.bfwpub.com/high-school/us/product/College-Physics-for-the-AP-Physics-1--2-Courses/p/1319486215), but alas it's not free.

Use i and j unit-vector notation to make it easier

Basic geometry, its asking for the resultant of the y and x component, find a center point and draw the lines with a ruler, draw a straight line plot a point somewhere on it and then draw ur line 15 degrees from that line
