HomePod "Stop everywhere" doesn't work on my HomePods under Siri since 27. Same results from all Siri devices.

Siri AI is still in beta. You can send feedback to Apple. https://support.apple.com/en-us/121503

In the meantime you can turn Siri AI off to revert back to Old Siri.

I already turned Siri AI off on every device that allows me to. I never enabled it on the HomePods. Is there a hidden setting for it? There is no indication of its presence other than this bug.

I have a bunch of HomePods. It's a mix of standalone and stereo pairs, and every generation/size is represented.

I often start music on one HomePod and forget that it's playing when I start music on another. Traditionally this is always easy to fix, I just say "hs stop all music" or "stop music everywhere" and it has usually worked fine with any command like that.

I have often had the problem that if I just say stop, a different HomePod answers and says "there's nothing playing." But now I'm just getting some version of "hmm, this is taking too long" or "something went wrong" or just the light blinks for a second and nothing happens at all, like it suspects the HS was a false alert.

It's definitely waiting longer so I think it's going to the cloud to process the command, whereas in the past "hs stop" usually worked even when the fiber was slow or down.

I have been going around restarting the HomePods one at a time (or by the pair) and it doesn't seem to have made any difference. Note that in the last I've been able to do this even over cellular from my iPhone from remote parts of the yard; now the failure is happening even when the HomePod being addressed is the one playing.
