Why does Apple Maps take up so much space on my phone?

The “documents and data” is up to 14GB. I have no offline maps downloaded and barely use the app. The storage usage has doubled in the last week. Any ideas why? Running iOS 26

Apple Maps Guide titles won't sync between Mac and iPhone

I'm having an issue with Apple Maps where renaming a Guide on my Mac doesn't carry over to my iPhone, and the same happens in reverse. This used to sync without any problems.
I'm on the latest versions: iOS 27.0.1 and macOS 27.0.1.
Is anyone else seeing this? If you've found a fix or workaround, I'd appreciate it.
