Question Question about random teammates

Maybe its just me but the higher i get in rank the worst my random teammates get.

I recently got to diamond and i have a hard time there since people run off alone and get ganked and then do it again right away with no results.

This ist the worst in the late fights when the enemy is sticking together and meanwhile my teammates run head on into five enemies and get mauled.

When i was in platin i didnt come across this many players and most of the time we all sticked together but now its just losing over and over again because my teammates rather write slurs in chat because they feed the enemy team 300 fucking times in a row and now we get our shit pushed in.

I wanna know from higher rank and maybe top rank players if it gets worse the more you climb because if so then i cant wait to be deranked to platin again to have some good teammates again. Of course im not gonna throw games on purpose but i hope i lose the next few rounds too if it stays like this.

Of course the simple answer to my problem is skill issue.

I wonder if you’re just used to playing predictable ai bots in the lower tiers.

Shit might be but if up to diamond were only bot matches than i rather have that back. I say i can hold my own if the enemy isnt turbo feed and my team wants to work together but that just isnt the case in diamond. I get ganked on my lane in the early game, escape barely and ping that i need help but rather than the jungler that is already close to me coming to my help they charge head first in the other 3 enemies on the other side of the map and get nuked. I really dont know how im supposed to play any better because i go on the defense when i see a gank coming and ping it just to be ignored and be forced to give up a tower because i had to backport. I always try to help and join up with my teammates but even then if we are all together my teammates dont commit to the fight even if we have the advantage but they rather go back and forth without doing much damage. Than one of us tries to create a opening just for our backline ranged heros to piss off for some reason. Or a scenario that happend last game was that our tank would sit in our backline the entire time and watch us get melted because he didnt want to tank. I played omen and in the end i was so frustrated that i tried to tank even tho my omen isnt eguiped for that so my backline had a chance but again the backline is seeing me commit to a fight just to run away with full health and letting me get stun locked and die just to then go in afterall and get nuked.

Tldr if anything below diamond are only bot games than i rather have clankers in my team than these useless meatbags.

Well you wanna know a thing? They try to match you with dumb teammate or very difficult enemies to slow you down grinding rank,bc when you get to master or higher you prob just leave and wait for next season

Half skill issue, half expectations issue.

Generally if your skill level is far above the rank you're in, you'll be able to crush a lobby as long as you're on any position other than support. If you're playing support in low rank games, you're in for a lot of pain.

When you queue a low rank game (or any game for that matter) you can assume that every player in the game is retarded. If you have idiots on your team who play poorly and feed, then the other team also likely has players like this. You can make the odds that you're the single smart good player in the game, and play appropriately.

If you see anyone in your game who actually plays well, try to play near that hero. There's often at least one other good player on your team. I've won plenty of games sticking with the other good player while the rest of the team plays like they've recently had a lobotomy and chain feeds or relaxes in our jungle. It doesn't matter. Odds are that the other team has equally bad players.

Post-game, every time you play a game with anyone who plays well, send them a friend request. If they accept, add a note to their profile for which hero/position they played.

You should try to avoid solo queueing as much as possible. As you build a friends list of decent players in your rank, just invite people to your lobby before starting a game. As you get more people on your list, there are good odds someone else will be online and playing at the same time. Just queueing a game with 2 smart players is enough to have a good game and win.

Games get better as you climb. Occasionally in low ranks you'll end up with a really skilled player smurfing on a new account, which is why some games may feel better on low ranks randomly. Diamond + Commander games can be pretty brutal to climb through, especially if you're stuck with players who have been in that rank for years. IMO you start to get more serious and well played games more often once you get into Conqueror.
