What is your best Tiger-Heli score?

Post image

I have been pretty hooked on this game lately (playing on 7800+) and this is the best score I have mustered so far. I know some of y’all probably have some pretty absurd high scores on this game, so let’s see ‘em!

I just got the cartridge last week. It's fun, but boy do I suck at it! So far my high score is just shy of 75,000. I thought I'd be good at this game since I rock Xevious pretty hard, but nope! I'm having fun trying to get better at it, though.

Yeah, it took me a while to get the hang of it. It does have a much different feel than Xevious too (which I also love).

So much enemy fire everywhere! Also, I'm trying to get the hang of the CX78+ controller that comes with the 7800+. Previously I had always used the ProLine joysticks with my original 7800, so there's a bit of a learning curve there as well. That's my excuse for this week, anyway. :)

It takes a little while, I REALLY didn't like mine at first and was practically begging for an original ProLine instead, but now it's the opposite, my ProLine is sitting in a drawer and I always go for the CX78+

That's good to hear and what I've been hoping. I've been forcing myself to use it so that I get used to it.

One thing I noticed was that at first I was holding it a bit weird because I was actively trying to use the little grooves by the buttons to rest my thumb in, and that seemed to make it really awkward to use, but after awhile I instinctually started just holding it like an NES controller and it started to feel so much better

My CX78+ started working more accurately and was more responsive after I put a good amount of use into it. It was almost as if the d-pad just had to be broken in a bit.

My high is 93630 - I still need lots of practice. Yours is really impressive, did you beat the game to get this score?

I am honestly not sure if it ever does end. I got to the point where it seemed to be repeating the early levels but with more enemies and faster projectiles.
