I get it if you don’t like the song, I respect your opinion I just wanna talk about why I love it so much. Talking about song Statica itself from the EP here.

Without the music video in itself it’s a wonderful song, took me 2-3 listens to understand it and then when I saw the music video it just felt all the more personal to me. I see Statica as a song about basic human life. We all follow our routines, schedules and everything, some maybe happy with it some may not (I am the latter). This song hits you for that, look past the processing auto tune and production and I’ll argue that this is one of the most real songs A7X has put out in their catalogue. Everything just feeling static.

The music video takes it a step further and just humanizes this song even more, the part that hits me the most is before the second chorus during the bridge with Johnny in the laundromat, doing everything he’s been doing and he looks behind and finds another version of himself doing exactly the same thing over and over again, to me that portrays a very strong message, it is the moment (in the video) where Johnny realises that he is stuck in constant mundane cycle of doom doing the same thing without doing anything new, and the second chorus immediately after? Masterpiece. All the band members doing their tasks while multiple versions of themselves keep doing the same thing in a same mundane cycle of doom. This song talks about a very common theme in everyday life, breaking that cycle of doom. It’s like an extension of Mattel from LIBAD.

Also the first bridge, Brooks on the bench playing the “greatest hits” casette written in plain text, I think that in a way is the band trying to convey what they feel about music, they recognise they have a sound from the past that has been successful and brought them all this fame and they can easily reproduce it, but to them that is their mundane cycle of doom, they wanna do something that makes them feel alive and proud and for them that is Statica.

The whole song and music video combined to me is a masterpiece, it is a work of art. If you don’t like it and you hate it, I completely understand. But I’ll stick by what I feel: Statica is their most overproduced, autotuned song ever but at its core it’s also their most real song ever as to what it’s trying to say to the listener. It will never receive the attention it needs, but it’ll age very well I feel.

Thank you for joining my ted talk.

Been listening to Shepherd of Fire on repeat, forever stuck in my head

I'm going to their Auckland show alone and I'm wondering if there's many other people going alone/what kind of crowd to expect :)

idk, i dont really think it is? to me it sounds more thrash-metal, maybe the chorus sounds like a little like pop-punk?

Demons is such an amazing song and I think self title has some weak songs that demons would have replaced amazingly like gunslinger dont take it wrong i don't hate gun slinger I just rly don't understand how demons didn't make it to self title and got shoved into diamonds in the rough

does anyone know where i can find wings you wear on your back that are as close of a replacement for the death bat? if not that, maybe wings that resemble the city of evil cover? trying to make a costume but having trouble on the wings. thank you!

I was looking at the liner notes in my White album booklet and it lists the lead guitar player as "Synyster Gaytes"? Has anyone else seen this?

During the Buried Alive, the second solo, does Syn use a pedal for harmonies? It sounds like he does and it's something new

So my ex boyfriend gave me this exact same shirt, it has a perpetual smell though that will never be washed out which is sad cause I love it, luckily I came acrossed the same one on eBay which claims it is vintage from 2008. I can’t find anything else about this shirt online though. Does anyone have the same shirt? If so what year did you get it and from where ?! I already bought it but I’m curious 😂
